Bah, OK so the third one wasn't as good as the others, but I love that trilogy.

I can picture it now, at the end of the third game you'll have to chase a big daddy on an epic waterski sequence that ends with a giant slow mo jump over a tank of sharks.
The big daddy turns around and is like

I'm not particularly shocked by this, nor am I too exited, because I didn't really like Bioshock that much... I don't know, to me it felt so much like System Shock 2, but stripped down in terms of freedom, then upped in the graphical department... It is still a good game, but it did'nt impress me personally _________________

I'm kind of happy, i think, but what i really want is System Shock 3.
Honestly, I'm only 16 and played Bioshock before System Shock. And even though it was made in 1999, its still a better game.
Bioshock was like a cut-down system shock with beautiful water features. Don't get me wrong it was still a great game, but trust me it has not reach anywhere near its potential.
Bioshock- Renamed Bioshock IV- A New Guy
Bioshock V- Ryan Strikes Back
Bioshock VI- Return of The Little Sisters
20 years or so pass....
Bioshock I - The Phantom Big Daddy
Bioshock II- Attack of the Splicers
Bioshock III- Revenge of Fontaine
Alright parody, eh? And they could actually do it that way too

Need for Speed, right?
I still haven't played Bioshock and from what people say I'll get it when it's cheap.

Get it and play the first two thirds, then get rid of it so you don't ruin the memories of a good game. _________________

This ever increasing trend of endless sequels is gonna turn around and bite developers on the bum. Gamers everywhere are starting to crave original titles, this clear from postings on many different forums. What we want is new ideas, Valkyria Chronicles is a fine example. To add to the situation I've just finished a game to find the most unsatisfying ending in all of history and in order to reach any sort of satisfactory conclusion I'll be forced to purchase the Princely sequel when it comes out, either that or I'll say no thanks Ubisoft because I'll probably actually have to wait til the 3rd installment for aforementioned conclusion.
Hopefully we won't see a future where a dozen or so franchises that sell well are rehashed every couple of years but instead see sales of titles that bring fresh gameplay and ideas. One such place for the development of these ideas is the PSN Store, Xbox Arcade and WII Ware here new ideas can be tried without the financial risk of a major release, and if the idea proves a success then perhaps it can be expanded upon.

Initially I was quite a bit hesitant on hearing this news, but to me I think it depends on just how frequent they bring out new games - the Metal Gear Solid series has managed to stay solidly story-driven without mass dips in quality a'la the prequel trilogy of Star Wars, whilst still maintaining critical appraisals. _________________

While the quality of these games do increase I would hate to see innovation come from just these places. They have a kiddie/casual flavour to most of them

Oh come on, ROTS was epic with the Yoda Vs. Sidious fight and all. And I maintain Attack of the Clones was seriously underrated. The Phantom Menace was just disappointing, not doubts about that. _________________

Ya know I wouldn't say it's really increasing at all. Game have always had tonnes of sequels these days developers are just more open about admiting that they're hoping the game is sucessfull enough to warrent a sequel. _________________

Now I'm picturing a sickeningly violent game about extracting Adam presented in a real kid freindly package that seems to be completly unaware of how violent it's being.
And it's awesome. _________________

Awesome, Bioshock is one of my all time favourite games. Im a huge FPS fan, not sure exactly what it was about Bioshock but i instantly fell in love with it. Perhaps it was the atmosphere? Anyway i clocked it 8 times over! Twice on my brothers 360, then i got my own purely for that game, and clocked it 6 more times.
So in my books as long as it is reminiscent of the original Bioshock, more sequels are fine with me!

Here's an option instead of 5 games cut it back to 3 games and make sure that the last 3rd of each game doesn't feel slapped together in a hurry and suck.
Seriously the ending/final boss battle of bioshock blows big time. _________________
