Dear Segax. I stole your singstar, shes way better than grandma. Call it a colabortaion.
I like your new design better - perhaps you toned it down too much though? I'd love to have a bevvy with you one day and nerd talk color theory - your primary colours are letting you down. Colour harmony would allow you to use more intense and eye catching hues without having them fight for prominence. Take a peek at my early design bottom left. Also try and make it work without the drop shadow. 
Ive been playing with my original concept, alternate typefaces and 'screen' treatment. And because you asked - some disgarded designs with AU map and controller shapes.

Makes it looks more about music/orchestra/instruments rather then games.Should be a mix of someone standing waving a wii mote, someone crouching/sitting playing with a wired game controller, maybe someone with arms outsretched and VR goggles on, i dunno.More gamestuff.

Dopp .. too true .. i've reworked the colors a bit .. i think they are harmonious .. the gun guy is back due to popular demand. Drop shadows are gone too.
I love the australia image behind the figures keep that for sure.

i think the bright colours work better in context with the OFLC logos, but i suppose you haven't shown us this new design using the OFLC colours, so perhaps it did look like arse enough to justify toning them down.

I'd like to see what people could do with a nesting doll concept I think it fits the bill of 'everyone plays' perfectly.

I think segax and burnz have got the phallic thing downpat.......the blue guy in burnz's reminds me of jim's afro samurai sig, humongous wang and all.
