Ok, I know we don't need more of these "list funny/crap/lolcat/wish" threads but I thought this could be interesting considering us people here at PALGN are all geniuses (even though some don't know it yet )
I looooove reading interesting/exciting news, and since that there is so much of it out there that many of us will never get to read/hear it all, so i'd like to propose a thread where we can post links to it and enlighten us all.
For example, I thought this was pretty amazing. No sorry, wrong link, THIS one, was pretty amazing. It just shows how far robots and living biological cells can function together, and brings the world a little bit closer to the GEKKOS in MGS4.
All the general thread list rules still apply, such as 'one post per day' and 'keep talking about posts to a minimal'. Oh, can I please stress about at least SOME punctuation. How hard is it to capitalise or use full stops? No, seriously.

i am sure this will get it's own thread at some point, the tomorrow he speaks of at the end, is today.
These guys are either going to be heroes or the most hated people on earth at the end of today, should be interesting either way. _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. Kill the white man, kill

I don't get it. I think they could do with a few more pictures in there to illustrate the point.

I've been following this one for a couple of days, waiting for the actual conference before I posted anything. Will be interesting when it happens

...isnt going to be considered cheating at that particular school. might one day apply to other schools? _________________

Seems impractical given the base is so wide, means that any advantage of it being thin (other than weight, but then again how many times do you move your tv?) is completely moot. But hey, whatever helps fuel unnecessary consumerism is fine by me.

WOW!! Thats awesome. It kinda looks like a desk lamp from the sides. $4500 seems like an ok price. I still remember a few years back when flat tvs were worth more than cars as in over 25k. _________________ My affliation link: http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-c2ah.html

That one looks more like twins that didn't quite seperate during development though, rather than being "two headed" as such. It just goes to show that all kinds of crazy things can happen in nature. I find it interesting tht two conjoined turtles have come from this same guy, what's he doing to his turtles? _________________

Inbreeding them? Maybe they're Tasmanian turtles. _________________

from what i understand, polycephaly is quite common in egg-born animals, though they rarely live long (although i think there was a snake that lived a normal lifespan with 2 heads, and separate throats/stomachs).
i would assume that polycephaly is a form of conjoinedness, so logically i would think that something like that is also quite common in reptiles - though their survivability in the wild, as mentioned, would be low. _________________
