Primary colour buttons make SCV sad.
New page bug makes Grim sad. _________________

Ok so I'm done doing the artwork for my Q4.
I'm still tossing up between wich one to use.
vs
I'll buy some buttons to suit wichever skin I decide to go with. (Light up green and black for the hazama one, and maybe like a dark greeny blue and yellow for valkenhyne?) _________________

Hazama one. Definitely.
Also isn't the colour thing some sort of Microsoft licensing requirement for controllers? I remember reading that somewhere... _________________

Went eBaying on the prices on the Street Fighter X Tekken sticks, out of curiousity, and I can't say I'm surprised at the prices.
Edit: That said, at least it's not as holy WTF as the Hori VLX sticks
That said, I managed to dig this up while sorting my cabinet out:

I don't consider it an arcade stick, more like a massive pseudo fight pad with a stick. I think I'll stick with my MadCatz TE and Hori HRAP3 sticks _________________

ok so my clear plastic case for my stick finnaly arived, and I've found that snap printing will be able to print my artwork. (Ended up going with a Hazama one but with new artwork)
Am about to order the buttons from Gremlin but I'm not sure if the ones I'm looking at will work. I know the Q4 has 30mm buttons and am looking at these and this for light up ones Is there anything aside from the size that I need to pay attention too? Like compatibility issues etc? _________________

The OBSF30s will definitely be no problems: Those are the standard sanwa buttons that TE/Q4/HRAP/etc use. The other one though, no idea. You can try asking the Gremlin guys through Facebook/email, you'd have to wait 2-3 days for a response though.
The other option(If you know your electronics and willing to cough are a bit more cash) is to try use something like uila LEDs or ArcEye 2s(Not sure if you still find these though). Bit more work but you can get a Sparky LED controller to customize the colours of the LEDs.
I've never done this before but i've tempted to. Anyway, could you record or document the modding process of your Q4 once you've done it Benza? I'm tempted to get another arcade stick but i'd like to customize it and a Q4 sounds like a good alternative but i'd like to know how hard it is to replace buttons/artwork. _________________

Sure thing, I've allready taken my Q2 apart and the swapping buttons art work on that is a fucking cinch (I'm just waiting for my slack arse house mate to take it in to work and get it painted) I'm imagining the Q4 will be similar.
But yeah I'll take photos of everything to let you know how it goes.
I don't know anything about electronics but my dad is an electrician so I might go over to his place and get some help from him. _________________
