Taking in the Classic Sony Spin, this is what the following quote could mean:
| Quote: | | "and an install base of over 550,000 Singstar microphones and 300,000 Buzz!" |
Singstar Microphones- Probably counting one pair as 2, making 275,000 Pairs of Microphones sold (Where's the physical game sales?)
"Buzz!" - Probably Controllers again considering the contents of the sentence (Then again it's Sony so it could be a completely irrelevant fact) Therefore probably 300,000/4, making it 75,000.
Why did I do this?

I think Buzz controllers are a single controller as in they don't come apart so that could be 300,000 units. Well done Sony, that's over 10% of the population.

Any way you look at it, even taking into account houses with multiple consoles or replacement consoles, its still a phenomenal number that have been sold, especially when you compare it to the size of our population...

Good to see Sony (& developers) getting some rewards for still supporting the PS2.
I think the PS2 is a good value proposition for families ie. $400 can buy a lot of gaming time.
