vooks.net has a review and a guide on how to operate it. Calm down Karai.

I'm definitely up for it although I'll most likely get smashed because I never really played Melee and learnt all of the skills. Looking at your video, well, not good for me .
My FC is on the first page and I'll add everyone who's posted theirs so far now. Oh and my Brawl name is "Scott". _________________

Its near impossible to find a random match, no idea why but I haven't been able to enter a single one. Has anyone else been able to enter one at all?
Friend matches are pretty good though and work well. I had a few pretty much lag free matches with Dare (thanks man ) before except for the last few when my Mum started watching videos on Youtube.
If you want some matches just swing a PM my way and I'll most likely be free for a few. Also changed my profile name to "Caney". _________________

I haven't gotten into one at all since I've had the game. Stupid Nintendo. Anyway, great to see everyone getting their copies of the game and enjoying it as much as I am. I've added everyone who's posted a friend code in this thread. _________________

^ I think it's more to do with the matchmaking. I'd say this is the downside of importing the title. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Not really, the online isn't region locked, and I know for a fact that people in the U.S are experiencing the very same problem. _________________

Not region locked, but logic would dictate that you're mostly playing against people in the US / Japan, rather than with people in Aus like you probably would be at our launch..... in 2012. _________________

I'll say this one last time (three in total):
The servers in Japan and America have a lot of traffic because the game's just been released there and everyone is trying to go online. Because Nintendo don't have a dedicated server and are just plain stupid when it comes to online play (they did invent Friend Codes after all, and the Mario Strikers sever experianced similar problems for a brief period), people are having difficulty playing against each other online. It would seem those who have friend codes are playing successfully, which suggests these are getting priority in the server.
Nintendo issued a statement a few days ago and more or less said that it's due to high traffic, but it's calming down over time and that they're go to play the waiting game. However, since then I've heard they're looking at trying to improve the server, so you may notice improvements over the next few days.
Now to start being annoying and ask questions:
Are you folks getting sent the daily user-created stages?
Have you sent any stages in for submission?
Shared with anyone on your friend's list yet?
More or less, what's the create a stage feature like? Simple to use? A lack or wide variety of options? _________________

Ooh, I like questions. Especially ones I can answer.
"Are you folks getting sent the daily user-created stages?"
Yep, I signed up for the Smash Service (have to agree to it in the wi-fi area). You get a stage, a picture and a replay every day.
"Have you sent any stages in for submission?"
Not yet, haven't bothered playing around with the stage builder too much (except to complete some challenges). I have however sent in a screenshot, I managed to take a good one.
"Shared with anyone on your friend's list yet?"
Nope. Annoyingly, someone has to be on both your Wii's friend list and Brawl's friend list for you to send them anything.
"More or less, what's the create a stage feature like? Simple to use? A lack or wide variety of options?"
It's pretty well designed and straightforward, with plenty of options. You start off with a decent number of parts, and unlock quite a few more as you progress through the game. There's room for a fair bit of variety.
Hope that answers all your questions. _________________

Wahey. I have the game too. Came in today. Freeloader works well enough. I enevr got any sort of update fromt eh disc. I already had 3.2E firmware and an update on PAL Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, so I guess thats why it never gave me any hassles.
Brawl is great. It feels much tighter and not as airy and less recovery in all moves. Fully customisable controls is great though. Finally can get rid of that awful stick jumping.
One strange thing I found is that the Brawl disc wouldn't eject when you return to the wii menu. You have to power off and then eject. Also the region locking returns once you go back from game to the wii menu.
Anyway. My Smash Brawl code:

@ canetoad: some great matches had the other day, thanx
But those last few ones were laggy to the max, so I eventually had to go (sorry bout that). We should do it again sometime
@ Toastfarmer: I don't know why your's hasn't arrived yet (seeing as mine came soo quickly), hopefully it arrives soon
@ Joseph:
note you have to turn Spectator & receive items from Nintendo both to ON
- yep got a user-created stage yesterday
- not sent any yet, but I'm still getting the hang of it (stage builder) so
- haven't shared with anyone on Friend list yet
- It's pretty easy to use, but I'm more concerned about the creativity of my stages than anything (hence why no submit yet)
@ Stompbrother: yeah i found that to occur with my disc as well, slight consolation i say, but yeah it's weird
Will add your FC when i get the chance
@ pandabear: I'm sticking with my staples (Mario, Link & Samus) but also quite like Olimar, Pit, Pkmn Trainer, Diddy & MetaKnight
waiting to unlock Snake though.... can't wait to play as him _________________

Everyone, feel free to add me. I'm gonna add everyone in this thread who has publicly posted their Brawl FC.
We need to arrange some sort of time for everyone to play some Wifi Brawling. We have some communication tools... MSN or for those with a 360, can just start a chat thru there and leave it on and load up Brawl. Otherwise a collective time will be ideal.
As for characters. Pit is a good character for begginers, although I find his special moves to be a tad useless bar his Up and Forward B. I like Wario and Dedede, always loved my heavy characters. I've dreamt of Olimar+Pikmin in games and it's a reality and he's cool. Pokemon Trainer is great. Any reason to play as a Bulbasaur is great in my books. Plus 3 characters in one! Lucas is a good alternative to Ness. So zippy. The new updates to the old characters, be they game affecting or just nice looking (Peaches up-attack) are welcome too. Now off to unlocking the rest. _________________

I was really disappointed with DeDeDe, to be honest. I'll probably appreciate him more after putting in enough time to get used to him, but he seems unreasonably slow in all regards.
Ike, on the other hand, is an absolute powerhouse! Slow smashes, but has faster attacks to help balance that out - love it. Hits hard, too.
Still not quite used to Snake's attacks, but damn they're fun (the RPG pointed at the ground was hilarious to discover). _________________

Yeah, I know what you mean. He is a bit on the slow side, but his moves really pack a punch. With a little practice, he's actually a decent character, I find. His final smash is pretty good to boot.
Anyway, I'm still maining Samus (taking me a little while to get used to ZSS), Ness and partly Zelda, with Sonic being my favorite new character. He's nice and fast, and has some very nice moves, I've almost gotten the hang of his final smash (so fast!). Kirby and Fox are good to play as, as always. Samus's final smash really packs a punch, and I've had a very good hit rate with it. Ness's is also quite good, there's only been a couple of occasions where opponents have escaped unharmed. Zelda's is harder to use than the other two, but is deadly with practice. _________________

WOOOHOO!! Freeloader arrived!
Well, a postal slip for it arrived at the office, they didn't deliver the little DVD case, as it is obviously too goddamn heavy for them to just give to me there.
Soo, I went to the post office at lunch, and lined up for 15 minutes, once I got served, I learnt that in fact, it wasn't there, and that it wouldn't be there until after 2pm.
Damn. But that's not so bad I thought, at least I'll be able to go back and grab it after work. Soo, I went back up at 3:10pm, car park at our little local shopping place was chockas, but after 20 minutes of circling, we managed to get a park.
Got inside, the place was packed, spent another 20 minutes waiting in a line, behind a guy who smelled like he had wet himself, and not had the decency to change his pants. Eventually I got to the counter, and gave the picukp slip. After a bit of digging around and asking about the dimensions of the parcel, the guy behind the counter informed me that it "wasn't there".
I explained the situation, and had him phone the other 2 post offices in the area, however "it wasn't there" either.
This isn't the first time this has happened either, in fact it seems to occur at least half the time with parcels here, despite having a work address, with an office willing to accept the parcel, it never gets dispatched, all I get is a piece of paper lying to me about the whereabouts of my belongings.
So now it looks like the wait got just that little bit longer, hopefully by Tuesday they've tracked it down, or I'll go completely f***ing nuts with the inability to play the copy of Brawl that's been sitting on my desk for days...
