I saw this game in the shops the other day and want to know if anyone has it or is interested in getting it. It has had hardly any press, and from what I have read it got totally panned in the states as just a way to see your pokemon in 3d and that you can battle people online.
I was looking forward to this, but I dont think I can justify the price and havent spent nearly enough time with pokemon pearl to really stand a chance online.
anyone else have thoughts? _________________

If you have Pearl or Diamond on the DS, go for it you'll get the full experience with the game. If not, it's just a moderate game

Unfortunately that's pretty much it. It's not a bad game by any means, the graphics are reasonably nice, it's all very fluid, but the game is also fairly shallow, aside from the above there are some coliseums to challenge, but that's about all from what I've seen. And yes, it definitely has much more value if you have Diamond/Pearl. _________________

I opted not to get it. I really love Pokémon, but I'm just sick of these half-assed attempts at Stadium games. This thing just isn't up to the standard it should be (see: Stadium 2). Many reviews have expanded on this _________________

I was really surprised to see this was a full priced game. I was kind of expecting to see it around the same price as Link's Crossbow Training. If it was I may have got it, but not at $100. _________________

Or even just Pokemon Stadium 3, that would at least be decent (probably). Surely it can't be that difficult. If they made a combo out of Stadium and Coliseum, that would be even better. I found the "pokemon RPG" style single player in the Coliseum games pretty good. _________________

I've formed the opinion that a full fledged home console Pokemon RPG with world exploration, pokemon capturing and battling a friend will not be released.
Currently if two people want to capture a pokemon and battle they require 2 DSs and 2 Game Carts. I feel they would be too concerned about cannibalization of sales to put it all in one product.
btw i was looking for link to back up the "unreleased game n watch tetris" legend to use as a supporting annacdote but instead I found this.
Often I am just staggered by the prioities that people have. The time, money and technology involved in this little exercise could do great things. No that’s not what I really mean, they have done a great thing, a very great thing, at least as great as any of these guys if not better. Its just that these guys are either dedicated tetris fans or are lead by an insane genius.
