But for some reason, now that i have it, i think its probably the coolest accessory i own. About to give the game another crack now. Only played it for about 1 1/2 last night but so far am very impressed what they have pulled off on the ds hardware. I wish more developers put in this much effort with their titles. |
Now if only rolling worked properly >_> _________________

Rolling is fine, just remember to do a little 'flick' not a big one.
The game is truely brillant and I cannot believe how good the controls are. The use of the quick-equip L/R button works so well and the puzzles feel fresh due to the touch screen, I'm about half way through and can't stop playing it. This is simple one of the best games I've played all year and raises the bar for handheld gaming, hell, gaming in general.
I fully expected to have some problems using the stylus. Instead I can't imagine playing the game without it. Raises my hopes for Ninja Gaiden on the DS as well. It's amazing to think when the DS was released that we would see games like this released and work. It also gives me high hopes to what we will see down the track with the Wii.
Nintendo simply are the masters. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I am well and truly drooling for this now. I have been waiting for cash to get it and my mate beat me to it. I had a chance to play it at his house today and I have fallen in love.
The controls are brilliant and I love the games art style aswell. I only got up to a little after Link get's the Sword lol, but that was enough to make me a fan.
btw, I boldened the statements that I whole-heartedly agree with. _________________

Yes I can roll every time now. The instructions said to draw circles though, but in actuality to roll you have to do little lines. Stupid manual. Oh well, alls good now. _________________

Yeah I can roll row when I'm running and stuff now, but it's still hard to roll into specific trees and stuff, not that you need to very often. I love it how Link becomes dizy after a while too. _________________

its really hard to stop playing, i dont know what everyone is complaining about with the temple of the ocean king, a bit a stealth at the start makes coming back later with brand new weapons and then rampaging all the better (im thinking of metroid zero mission here), i cant wait to get that phantom sword _________________

I just got past the section of the Phantom Temple where one of the dead skeleton says something like, "It's no fun using the +pad, I regret being so stubborn in saying such a thing." Haha, I like when Nintendo pays us out for complaining. _________________

Yeah I had played with the controls and worked out rolling much before the dude tells you to draw little circles. I'm not sure what the little circles referes to but all you need to do is a 1-2 cm flick and you roll. Rather straight forward. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Okay, I have just come into enough money for one game and Im having a big battle in my head over which game to buy: Phantom Hourglass or Final Fantasy Tactics for PSP.
I'm going to get the other one for Christmas anyway so does anyway have an opinion of which one I should get?
Also, which of the two games will stay expensive the longest? Like will Zelda be like Mario Kart and still be at $60 even after being out for over a year? If that's the case i'd get it now and wait for tactics to drop.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any help _________________

Ive been playing this puppy nonstop since I got it and i've got to say it is fantastic! Ive just gotten up to the | Quote: | | spoiler: Ghost Ship |
and there's so much to do! I loved Windwaker to death (more so than Twilight Princess) and this direct continuation is no exception to how much fun Zelda titles really are.
Does anyone know how Tag Mode works? Is it merely a place to swap items with other players or is it something more?
Either way, I strongly recommend this game to anyone.

The preentation is beautiful. Good job Ninty.

I find that double tapping the edges of the screen works wonders for me.

why couldn't they make make pokemon like this (graphics and touch screen wise)? That would have truly made it a worthy purchase. I guess they were focusing alot on the online aspect but still it makes me wonder once again of the potential that game still has.

Argh. Neither works for me. I can get him to roll up, down, and right, but not left, using the little circle way..

Rolling works on most occassions for me, so it's not a problem, and it's not like rolling is necessary in this game. There is no puzzles that need it, and for bosses you don't need it. _________________

I must say, half way through the game I'm finding some puzzles exceedingly difficult. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I've never needed a guide for a Zelda game before @_@ _________________

One of my friends spent hours trying to work out hours to blow out the candles, when I told him out he was pretty frustrated and disappointed in himself _________________

LOL! I figured that out, embarassing as it was to perform in front of my family.... I got stuck on a five switch puzzle, but namely my problem is beating the ocean kings levels in the time limit _________________

Yelling into the mic makes me fell the dumbest. Just finished the game then. Kinda dissapointed it had to end. Still missing some of the gem stones but got no idea where they would be. I can't beat the record for the crossbow challenge and i always equal the cannon one.

You don't have to yell you know... if you blow softly on the mic it records that as the loudest sound possible. >_> _________________

Yeah, the end was quite an annoyance | Quote: | | the cliche of everything went back to normal and only Link/Tetra/Linebeck ever knew, and it was only 10 minutes since the beginning, but seeing Linebeck sailing off brought a warm feeling in my heart |
