the logo looks clunky and out of place, imo. even the frozen themed one of your revamped one doesn't really fit. _________________

Ok, sounds fair enough to me guys, I suppose I'll just leave it without the logo. Here's how it looks with the 10th Squad flower:
And I've come up with another avatar.
Edit: Eyce:
It's not bad, except the "Hyourinmaru" now goes onto the image a bit. _________________

Make the Hyourinmaru text far larger, and the "Sit Upon... etc" text smaller and less stylish. _________________

I this made a few months ago and IMO is one of my best. The quality is kinda crap though after trying to fit the 40 kb limit, but anyway what are your opinions?
EDIT: Now fits 40kb and in better quality, Thanks to the thebigm

Gone over the 40KB limit by about 7KB. pm me a link to the original version and I'll get it within the limit easily with good quality

Ok. request time if anyone feels like it.
I'd like something akin to my current set, but with the DOG images updated to Ep2 stuff. Also can my name be put in there without the "|[" and "]|".
much appreciated. _________________

quick little portal thing i whipped up. gonna get a sig going soon too, hope to make a good set out of it, as portal is probably my new favourite game lol
things to fix/add in new version:
border, text (what font does portal use?? hmm.. will need to find out), picture of the portal (very unclear, too small, etc. and will probably need cake.
and a 100x100 that i made for msn
kinda like the msn 1 better infact. better font, etc. looks cleaner...
and some funky little sig i made up.
the animated text is supposed to show the porting between portals... _________________

You want it to be based on both? That could be a bit tricky. Is there one you would like more than the other?

NiGHTS set. Using Flash. Its been Years since I've played with either!
v I guess thats the rub, getting something to maintain harmony and contrast for the entire duration is so much more difficult than a single static frame.
vv It looks like a flash ad because its made with Flash, but I couldn't help thinking that too as I made it. My experience with Flash is pretty limited, nice to know I could get a job in the annoying web banner industry after sniffing it for 5 minutes.
vvv Yikes, I'd hate to alienate my audience. Perhaps I need to use more...
vvvv ...Subtlety is not your strong suit. You're right though.
I found some official SEGA layered Photoshop files (including the entire breakdown for the Wii cover for Nights), combined with CS3 and a new mac I set to work, never really intending to make something that moved. Thanks for the feedback, I've obviously been too close to this (ace learning experience) to see it's shortfalls.

I don't mean to sound like an a***hole döpp, but IMO that isn't quite up to your usual (solid gold) standard. The text doesn't stand out well against the background - although maybe that was to make it unobtrusive? I don't know... maybe its just the twitching ADD kid in me constantly getting distracted the the flashing and movement? _________________

Great to be able to use flash to make sigs, but something about it reminds me of those advertising you find littered all over the net. _________________

It does look nice. I just can't stand moving sigs and avs. I've blocked it just because it is annoying to see it constantly going. _________________

I agree, it's very distracting. If you're going to have an animated sig, please make it more subtle (ie. no flashing). _________________

if you want to keep the image quality up, then all you can realy do is lower the amount of frames. you can also drop the colour level, do drop the file size a little, but it also drops the quality quite alot.
and im mistified how u got that tiny av bigger then the sig... but just try lowering the amout of colours (there should be an option when you try and save it [if you are using CS3, i cant remember where it is for older versions] where u can change the number of colours displayed. default is 256, so you could drop that down to 128 or 64. although the quality would suffer) _________________

Samboy, what part of CS3 are you referring to?
(CS2 and below is ImageReady btw) _________________

You know what ads? I think your sig would look great if you got rid of the text alltogether and kept it with a nice simplistic look. My two cents anyway. _________________

when saving gif animated pics (you can animate in cs3, just have to click window>animation.)
file> safe for web
then on the right it has a bunch of options, such as dither, colours, lossy, etc. and thats where u chnange the colours from 256 to whatever..
for cs2 and below (imageready), i still think you go to window, and open one of them, but i cant remember what one specifically. it should be there on startup actually, on second thought... _________________
