Has anyone or is anyone thinking of taking one of these?
My main's on Jubei and I'm getting sick of the queues, but I'm a little nervous about t'fering to a server that i don't know the economy of. I know that Thaurissan (sp?) is supposed to have a high Horde V Alliance imbalance, but so does Jubei, so that doesn't bother me. Also, I'm not in a guild, so leaving one behind doesn't factor.
Anyway, anyone looked into this? Any advice for a poor lvl 60, warrior?

i've done this in the past, when Thaurissan opened, i transferred my Horde character to it from a US server, though i haven't really played it since.
i suppose it also depends on what you really do when you play. if all you want is PVP, then the Battle-group that Thaurissan is in is MUCH better than the one Jubei'Thos is in.
Since you're only 60, i'm guessing you're more of a casual player, than a raider, and in that regard alone, i would probably encourage you to transfer.
as for the economy: Jubei Alliance is pretty stable, i'm not sure about Jubei Horde, but what i've noticed of Thaurissan Horde is pretty similar to what i see Jubei Alliance side.
the active population is a bit of a concern for Thaurissan.
on JT, the absolute ratio of Horde to Alliance is 1.9:1, but the active ratio is 1.2:1, during peak times, the Horde and Alliance populations are pretty close.
on Thau though, absolute is 3.6:1, with an active ratio of 2.2:1. at almost any time, there are twice the number of Horde as there are Alliance. _________________

Cheers, Obselete. It PvP I'm mainly interested in, and maybe finding some casual raiding opportunities when i lvl up, so i think I'll pop for it.
Thanks for the advice.

Actually, Obsolete, when you say the BG for Thaurissan is 'better', better in what way? Less queue time? More of a challenge? Alliance roll over and die quicker?

i mean it's more of a challenge, plus you should be better matched hardware-wise, as all the other Oceanic servers are in it.
for some reason, Jubei'Thos (and Khaz Modan - the only other Oceanic server in this battlegroup) is in a different battlegroup to the other oceanic preferred servers, which means that peak times aren't always server peak times, and we play people with much better latency. _________________

Transfer complete, and I'm bloody loving' it
Thanks again for the recommendation, Obselete. Barely any queue for the BGs, no queue at all to get in, no lag and a battlegroup where the Horde dont just steamroller the Allie out fo their way.
There's still a day left, so anyone else considerring the move from Jubei to Thaurissan, i recommend it whole heartedly.
