This game is going to kick so much Ass, I'm so excited over It I'm actually taking a one week break from WoW !
Pc version is only $20 US and a Direct port from the Xbox 360 ( Unlike Spiderman 2 which had a PC Version that sucked more balls than Richard simmons ).
Who else is dying for this!

The bad thing about movie games is they always cost next to nothing on pc.. then on the consoles.. $119.95... stupid because IMO the games are not worth that. $50 budget title is more suiting.
But yeah im going to be giving it a good rent from blockbuster(assuming they get it in.. they havent got anything new since noveember..) since its $8 for 3 days. It will be a short game trust me.. all it needs is a rent unless your a hardcore fan.
Btw this should be in general gaming section..

meh i don't mind shooting webs around the place its like any other game but its a movie game. Spiderman was the only game made from a movie that i actually liked (other than the hulk on Xbox)
and as for looking forward to it i probably wont even know its out, when its out.

Yes, I am looking forward to it.
I think this game is worth it since they've been developing it for several years now. I'm just miffed that the PS3 is getting a special edition with extra features.
You don't know all that's going to happen in the game because it has six story arcs - only one of which is the movie.
I doubt it will be short based on the above statement. Besides, half the fun of the Spidey games is swinging around town and finding secrets - and the new town looks HUGE. _________________

I definately am! I was also disappointed by the lack of PS2 to PC port for Spiderman 2. Ill be getting the Wii version aswell. It looks to add a whole new element what with using the remote and nunchuck to actually web sling across the city. Knowing that the PC version is a port of the 360 one makes it even better! This may very well be my first cross platform purchse

I always wanted a Spiderman game. I was gonna get Ultimate Spiderman, but somehow it just passed by, and I missed the wagon. So I might check this out. _________________

I dunno really, I mean, you swing around one city and you've pretty much swung around them all. I'll probably grab the PC version seeing as it's so cheap but it won't be a must have title for me.

I have bought all of the Spiderman games ever released, even back from the days of the psx editions and enjoyed them all. I think my favourite would be Ultimate Spiderman, because all of the the citys differ, unlike the other ones where they look exactly the same. Plus the graphics, I had never seen cel-shaded put to such great use. Sadly I never completed it because it was to challenging. I will buy Spiderman 3 on 360, but hopefully it won't be as extremely difficult as ultimate was.

I've played Ultimate Spiderman on PC. Not bad at all. I just didnt like the directional change the story took, being in the Marvel's 'Ultimate' universe and all..

The past Spidey games on PS2 were enjoyable, I especially liked the first one at the time.
I'll give Spiderman 3 a look on the 360, but can't see me making a purchase unless it was cheap.

^ Do you mean the first one of the PS1? If so, yes that was a kick ass game. I loved all the cameos from all the heroes and villains from the marvel universe; Black Cat, Punisher, Captain America, Mysterio, The Human Torch... It had a pretty decent story too iirc. It was the game where you ended up joining forces with Venom to take down Doc Ock and Carnage. So cool.
I loved the bit where Venom asked for Captain America's autograph It was a pretty humorous game, now that I think about it...
The only other Spiderman game I've played since then was Ultimate Spiderman, which I admittedly really enjoyed... but that wasn't based of a film, plus it had a awesome art style. I've never even considered giving Spiderman 3 a go, but I think I might pay a bit more attention to it now. _________________

^ You know what? I can't remember, but it would've been on the PS1 seeing as they were running it on the Tony Hawk engine.
Although I can't remember any of that stuff..Hmm. I remember being in the sewers and fighting the Lizard, and I remember Web-Slinging.

Yep, that's the one. I remember the sewer bit with The Lizard. I think the story revolved around Doc Ock flooding the streets of Manhattan with poisonous gas. I remember that's why you couldn't swing too low or it'd be game over. I've still got my copy around somewhere... I fell like playing through it again. It's surprising just how much is coming back to me! It was one of my favorite PS1 games... I suppose that explains the vivid memories. _________________

Yeah! Ive got that version on the Dreamcast. Primus do the main menu music with their own take on the Spiderman theme. The last boss is Doc Ock possessed by the Carnage symbiote if I remember right..

Spoilers I guess...
| Quote: | | In the Spider-Man video game for the PlayStation, Sega Dreamcast, PC, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Color, he and Carnage are the main bosses. Ock pretended he was reformed and hired Mysterio to frame Spider-Man by having him steal one of Dr. Otto Octavius' new devices. Afterwards, Ock and Carnage released a fog in New York. But Spider-Man destroyed the fog and realized Ock and Carnage framed him. After both are defeated, the Carnage symbiote attaches to Octavius to form the hybrid villain "Monster-Ock". Direct confrontation with this combined foe results in Spider-Man's death; after the player flees from him, his base explodes and the two villains are separated and subdued when they get in contact with the fire. Ock manages to survive, thanks to the symbiote and is knocked unconscious as the symbiote slithers away. He would be saved with Spider-Man from the complete destruction of his lair by the Black Cat, Captain America and Venom. Ock is last seen in the same prison cell with the Scorpion, Rhino and Mysterio, banging his head on one of the cell bars, feeling horrible that not only was he defeated once more by Spider-Man, but he is also in a cell full of idiots. The situation had not changed when he made a cameo appearance in the final cutscene of Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro. |

THe ps1 spidermans were the best, I remeber there were all of the costumes you could unlock to alter the game, this is a feature i hope they put SM3 besides the Venom suit obviously. I can remeber me and my brother used to play through the game with all the different costumes to see how they differed. Awesome game
