i have just set up live on my 360 but cant connect, when i test the connection it loads the first two things wireless and i cant remember the first one. then gets to "IP" it starts loading then fails. i have put the all the right codes in but it's still not working. any ideas? _________________

Since its stopping at the IP part, I'm guessing you may have entered it wrong
http://whatsmyip.org/
Try that out, it gives you your IP. You didn't use 10.0.0.1 did you? That's the local area network IP _________________

do you mean to use that as my ip?
i just tryed what RKO'd said, and it now says that my gateway is invalid. and i'm getting this error status report
W: 0000-0021
X: 8000 - 040D
Y: 0000 - 0000
Z: 0000 - 0000

Try 192.168.2.9, with your default gateway to 192.168.2.1. Really need a little bit more info to try to fix it, because there are a few things that could need changing.

tried it, didn'e work. it said that my gateway did not respond to a network request.

fixed, kinda. i hooked it up through my modum with the ithernet cable. that worked, so then attempted the wirless adapter again. it seems that some of the info gets lost some where. so i'm gonna god pick up a sepperate wireless router, then see what happens. _________________
