I grabbed GRAW2 cheap-ish a few days ago, did I make the right choice over R6:V? I know it's newer, but would people say it's better?
The worst part is that my 360 is en route to Brisbane, so I don't get to play it for 2 weeks ;(

I can't answer your question, but let me say that I am totally unimpressed by Rainbow 6. Yes, its a good game, but I was expecting to be blown away, and frankly, I was somewhat disappointed.
The graphics were nowhere near the standard I heard they were, and the gameplay, while challenging and somewhat realistic, leaves something to be desired.

Personally I preferred Rainbow 6 purely because the single player campaign seemed to last longer.

I am still yet to play Vegas (well, other than the demo anyway) so I can't offer a proper opinion, but GRAW 2 is pretty damn sweet. But, what makes GRAW 2 so good is that is it an extension (if you will) of the brilliance that was the original GRAW so if you have played that and know what that's like then you will have a fair idea of what to expect and enjoy in GRAW 2. _________________

I've played a few of the last Rainbow Six games and never been able to get into them. GRAW2 is a better choice IMO. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I personally think GRAW and GRAW2 are better than Rainbow 6. I'm not sure that GRAW2 too could be called 'better' than GRAW, even though it's identical in almost every way, because it's just a lot shorter. You made the right choice but if you can grab GRAW and R6:V for cheap in the next few months do it as all 3 of them are great games well worth playing. _________________

I much much prefer the Rainbow games to GRAW. Rainbow's got the best cover system I've played with (shits all over Gears'), which makes for the perfect balance between action and strategy. _________________

I honestly think Gears cover system works waay better. Considering how much I've played Gears, Rainbow 6 just doesn't compare.

Having completed both games, Gears is a very very basic cover system. Most reviews agree with that comparison too. _________________

Yeah, fair enough.
I just found it better personally. I mean, in Rainbow, if someone flanks me from the side, I find it too slow to kill them in time.
Although, when I think about, its probably because you die alot faster in Vegas.

Now that the hype has died, and I'm virtually over Gears, I agree with you. The whole cover system gets boring IMO. The action's great, but that's on multiplayer, and most of the time it's not cover related. _________________

Yes, sometimes we get blinded by the hype and cant see the actual product untill people stop the carry on. It didnt play a major factor at all. _________________

I agree with Spanca, the cover system in rainbow vegas was unreal.
Have not yet to play G.R.A.W 2, but have played a fair bit of vegas, and i love it.
I would say go vegas over graw 2. But if you like live play, the go graw (better multiplayer) _________________ Samsung 32" LCD

^ Vegas has a stronger online community though, regardless of what you think of the game, so there'll be more people playing it for longer. _________________

I'll grab GRAW soon, it's pretty cheap because of the age, and by the time I feel like something new R6V will probably be in the same boat

GRAW2 is currently the best shooter on the planet. Not by a whole lot, but it's comfortably better than anything else I've played on the 360 (read: somewhat identical to GRAW, but GRAW was ahead of its time and easily trumped Gears). _________________ phil@australiangamer.com
