Great night last night, especially for my tips. Two thrillers to start off a season that looks is going to be awesome. Jesus, Matty Bowen is a genius, I am so glad he didn't go to union.
Scores
Cowboys def Broncos 23-16
Melbourne def Tigers 18-16 _________________

Was at Suncorp last night to see the Cowboys take the 2 points. Wasn't the greatest game of footy, but great for a round 1 match and the closeness of the match was superb. Broncos would have taken it I rekkon if they had just held onto the ball half the time!
I got back to see the last 15 of the storm win and saw a replay of that new Isreal guys try, looks like a very promising player!
A great way to start of the season with 2 close games. Just wished the Broncos had won _________________

lol, thanks thanks for letting me know, I forgot who I tipped. Awesome, I usually do crap in tipping comps, hopefully I didn't stuff up the rest of the weekend's games but. There's still 3 games to go and I did pick the rabbits. _________________

I'm in 3 different comps on OzTips for NRL. I've backed different teams to try and spread my luck...I've got 2 points on PALGN, 6 points for Dad's work comp (winner gets 1000 bucks!), and 8 points for my work one (currently winning).
CARN THE TITANS!

Damn it, picked the dogs. I can't believe they lost, being up 24-8 at H/T.
lol, good idea Mitchacho, I did different tips on the Bulldogs tipping comp to wat I did on OZTips, but you can actually win stuff on Bulldogs so I'm hoping they go best. _________________

It looked like almost everyone picked Titans. I think tommorow will be very important for the leaders and the people coming second. _________________

What a match between the titans and the dragons.
I wanted the titans to win but dragons just got the edge with that penalty.
Doesnt matter atleast my storm won. Just hope the panthers do now. _________________

^ Yeah the titans game was really great, they look like an exciting team to watch - not afraid to throw it around a little, but they don't go overboard like NZ.
Nice to see Mat Rojers play at the end, he will only get better week after week. Sort of showed his union experience paying off I felt, as most league wingers just run back in the field or pass.
And if the panthers play like they did on saturday night (well what I saw anyway) they won't be winning any time soon. _________________

Well I used to live in QLD a couple of years ago and this just shows Victoria's coverage of the NRL.
I had no idea the Titans were starting this year and I had no idea Matt Rogers returned to League. _________________

They should have won. Dallas Mcilwain dropped the ball with the line open, as did one of the Titans players, also with the line open. That's two games that could easily have gone the other way.

Yeh, I know, I was listening to the radio kicking myself at the end of the Dog's game. Looks like Joey Johns is gonna be out for a couple of weeks after Sonny Bill's high tackle but. I'm not sure it deserved a send-off, maybe a sin-bin, but I may be a bit biased. _________________

from what i understand, the thing is going by the rules you can't get sinbinned for that. you can only get sinbined for offences like back chat, professional fouls and a bit of biff. the only way option you can take it further that just putting it on report is to send off.
i don't think that it was probably worth the send off. on the other hand i see it a fit punishment because if you take out a player out of the game like that with a illegal move than i think that it is only fair that the person that did the illegal move should sit it out also. if he had been taken out on a legal move, than it's just part of the game.
that just how i think it because if i was the player taken out i think that it would be unfair that the person that took you out got to keep playing the game while you had to get taken to hospital... oh well.. just my thoughts _________________

Timmah, no offence mate but there are no rules stating players can't be sin binned for head high tackles. Although you are right, it is rare it can happen, I'll jut find an example.
I didn't think there was too much in that tackle to be honest as you see it all the time. Honestly it should've just been a penalty and put on report, not a send off. The only reason he did was because Joey was injured and the pressure was on. _________________

yeah thats no prob, i had just thought that i had heard that was the rule and i can't remember anytime when anyone has been sinbineed for it.
i agree that there wasn't much in it. if joey wasn't injured i doubt very highly that there would have been a send off. _________________

The newcastle and bulldogs game was so funny. Because my brother went for bulldogs and he got to cocky half time roflmao. Than when it was 25-24 and it looked like bulldogs was going to score than he dropped the ball and knocked it on roflmao. That was a brilliant game imo glad i picked newcastle _________________

Yeah, Joey was falling, Williams wasn't even really watching (which makes it a bit reckless). It was the fact that it was Andrew Johns and there were 25000 Newcastle fans screaming OFF OFF OFF!! that pushed him to send it off. _________________

I caught the seconds half of the game, so missed most of the good stuff. From what I saw, the Roosters defence was bloody terrible, however you have to give credit to the Souths forwards, they played well.
Nice to have the Rabbitohs back in form for once...let's hope it continues _________________
