Gamespot has a new preview up with a gameplay video and some screenshots:

Forza 2 sure is staring to shape up and impress me. The hands on from gamespot is a decent read and the vidoe they have looks good. I really can't wait for this game to come out. Only about 3 or 4 more week to go i reckon.

At least we get the demo before them, can't wait

^ Odds are for mid-late May in Europe and the US, but at this stage the Aussie release date is pegged at July 14th

Is the multi screen thing still going to be part of the game as an option?

Would be cool to get all the mates 360's from around here and have a super immersive racing session.
I'll be also buying the force feedback wheel just for that game.
Might have to buy a leafblower too to strap under the front telly also for pure realism.

I think the multi telly thing was an option in Forza 1 too. I could be wrong though. I'm 95% certain it's in Forza 2 though, you just need multiple 360s/discs, oh and 3 HDTVs!

The Multi-TV thing is 100% in Forza 1, I've had the pleasure of being able to race in that configuration

It's disorientating if it's not set up right though.

Multi TV is defiantly in Forza 2, they've been using it a fair bit to show off the game to the press. It'd be pretty sweet the play it like that but i'll never get that chance lol

I really hope the 14 June release date is just a place holder or guess. MS are usually pretty good about releasing games down here at the same time as the US/Europe.

I will be seriously surprised if we don't see the game in May, I have to say. I'll also be seriously pissed off too, but you know.

Anyway Gamespot's career preview was quite a nice read and the AI driver's names that were mentioned in it have also been mentioned by Che from the Forza Motorsport website. That video that Gamespot had though was apparently made two weeks prior to that preview and that the game has come even further since then, or something like that anyway.

Apparently more videos are on the way this week and if we're lucky, the demo will be too...

Yes indeedy, that did look pretty sweet although I do admit that I would prefer to be seeing footage of someone actually playing, rather than the replay of them playing. But anyway it's video footage of Forza 2 so I can't complain.

In other news Microsoft announced that America will be getting the game on the 29th of May and if Turn 10 (the developers) manage to stick to their word then the rest of the world will be seeing it on that date too.

Oh and expect the demo this coming week too as well, it's going to be certified on Monday or thereabouts.

Agreed, its easier to see how the cars handle and the physics work if its actual "in game footage" rather than a replay. Still, the graphics look great imo.

BTW I bought the wheel then returned it... decided im more a controller racer than a wheel racer. Plus my couch setup doesnt really allow for a wheel to be used properly

Its a sweet wheel though. $179 at JB.

Funny you should mention that actually. As some of you may know, I have been wanting/considering the wheel ever since it was announced. I mean, it's a great product and won't just benefit Forza 2 and some other games that are already out but the good majority of future racing titles that will come out on the console too so that alone justifies the purchase to me. My setup however, does not and that's why I am beginning to question it. You see I have to sit on my bed while playing my games and yeah I'm starting to wonder whether the wheel would be worth having or not in terms of it being comfortable to use. Apparently it's reasonably comfortable when on your lap but it's just not an ideal place to use a wheel now is it? So yeah, what do you guys think? Should I get the wheel still and hope that it is comfortable enough while having it on my lap, or, should I forget the wheel and use the money towards something else instead? (such as Guitar Hero II)

Any input would be appreciated.

Honestly, try see if you can buy it from somewhere you can return it if you don't like it. Just take note of how its packaged coz its fun putting it back together haha

I couldn't use it properly on my lap, especially with the force feedback, I found it sitting sideways on my lap after a few corners

Takes some getting used to as well in games, I tried it in PGR3, TDU and Forza 1.

I've got the same worry about using the wheel on my lap. So at the moment I'm hunting for a little fold up table to sit the wheel on. Just got to find one the right hight that doesn't cost to much.

I just really don't know what to do. I want the wheel because obviously I'm a racing game freak and all, but in terms of whether it's suitable to my room/setup or not is another matter. I could use it on my lap but if I'm in an Endurance race (for example) I don't want to be feeling uncomfortable halfway through either...

Anyway, I have decided (much to my dismay) to pass on the wheel and use the money for Guitar Hero II instead. Disappointed obviously because I'd love to have the wheel but I'm being realistic by not purchasing it, so yeah.
