360 "Classics" range to launch on March 1. With a RRP of $49.95
Games :
Project Gotham Racing 3
Perfect Dark Zero
Kameo: Elements of Power
Dead or Alive 4
Call of Duty 2
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Peter Jackson's King Kong
Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis
Tomb Raider: Legend (available in late March)
Although I own all but 2 of those games, it's still awesome we finally get more cheap games. _________________

This is good for late adopters such as myself (how late exactly remains to be seen). However, most of those titles can probably be imported for even less than the $50 mark by now (the region free ones only of course). I swear I saw Condemned for $19.99 or $29.99 USD when I was in the States last year. _________________

That is not that cheap..they can already be found for that price and also without the ugly classics sticker.

In all seriousness it's just a game, the box art doesn't change the gameplay. I personally don't mind having classic games as i don't buy them for the box. _________________

Yea, but He's right about the pricetag part ... still, this means that lazy people can pick up the games cheaper without searching/ebay/import which is always good I suppose (after all, less people on ebay means better prices )

Sweet.
Even if they are not that much cheaper than you can find them now, the advantage to this is obviously that they are more likely to go lower in sales than an already under-RRP game. _________________

I've got all of these games but once they start bringing out classic titles, it can only be a good thing because more will follow suit eventually. _________________

Good news even if i have played all the ones there I'm interested in.
And for all the people saying the price isn't that good try thinking about all the folk out there that still don't shop online. As crazy as it may sound they still out number the ones that do. It'll be great for the late adopters and should even bring in some new 360 owners who want cheaper games _________________

Agreed, these $50 are great for late adopters and maybe even cheaper with sales hopefully.

Although most of them titles will come up both here, and other places from time to time for very cheap. Someone was trying to buy PDZ off of me for $20!
Still, good to have classics.

You should know the price actually, since you bought my copy for me and all...
Anyway, this is good news as cheaper games is always a good thing. Of course, I'd prefer not to have a crappy boxart so I'm not sure whether I'll take advantage of these new prices or not. _________________

Way to make Table Tennis a Classis, it was already a budget title. Don't see the point really. _________________ Let's Dance the Dance of Death!

Its easy to get the non classic style boxes around the time they are released because the stores drop the rrp. Thats how I avoid crappy box art. _________________

Not always the case, it could be an EB price drop so the case has massive stickers on it that are a b**ch to get off _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

^ They usually peel off easy, The Kmart/ Target/ BigW price stickers suck. No, the worst ones are the EB pre-owned stickers. _________________

It's not just the price stickers for k-mart/target/big w it's also the fact they use those stickers to "seal" the game which generally don't come off. I remember they tried to put one on Shadow of the Colossus which is a cardboard case. I had to argue with the checkout chick and her manager for 20 minutes before they agreed not to put the sticker on the cardboard. Ended up being told "ok we won't put the sticker on but you can't return the game" my response was "that's fine, I wasn't going to return the game anyway". I brought the game and walked off with a smug look on my face.
I hear you about the EB pre-owned stickers. Ive been fortunate enough to see them trading in a title I wanted and since they were selling it for a price I thought was reasonable I managed to buy it before they put the pre-owned stickers on it _________________ RIP Buddha 19/10/1952 - 03/01/2004

if you get a cotton wool ball, and put some olive or vegetable oil on in, then rub the sticky area (after you've removed the sticker) you can remove a lot, if not all the sticky residue.
don't use too much oil, or you essentially swap sticky for oily, but around half the CWB should be "wet" when you start.
the wash your hands, and rub the oil off with a cloth or another CWB.
don't use it on the discs though, just the cases (and obviously, only the plastic cases, not card cases.) _________________

They don't look that bad IMO. Of course they will look worse here in Oz due to the fact that the Ratings logo will not fit as neatly as those ones do. As long as the manual and the disk itself are fine, as they were with X-Box, then I have no problem with those covers.
Then again there is always the route of custom covers. I have made a few personalized covers for games and movies before. _________________

Oh yea ... I saw those pics while I was on a 'find stuff for dad to buy for me before he comes back to Aus' pilgrimage ... and on the topic of 'worst pricetag labels', Cash Convertors ... they aren't so bad if they've only been on for a short while, but after 1-2 weeks they seem to stiffen up and become a real pain to get off
