I feel sorry for the people watching it first on TV, not for the lateness, but the spoiler promos Channel 7 always show. So give it to yourself to try and not watch the promos at the end of each ep.

Christopher Eccelston is awesome! (for those up to date)

Yeah thats the one thing that i havn't liked about what they have shown in any of the channel seven ads absolute spoilers galore. They havn't even started the first story arc of the series yet and they are already ruining the show.

You said it, spoilers FTL.Seven just don't seem to know what they're doing sometimes.. I think the majority of people who watch the show (and are able and willing to) will just download.

Watched the first episode. Thought it was crap. Won't waste any more time on it for now, to many other things to do. Though I do hear it gets better, might see how it progresses in a few weeks.

I wasn't as impressed with this episode as I was the pilot and I found myself growing bored through out parts of the episode. The bit with the cop was pretty interesting though, as was the Vegas womans bizarre unexplained powers, plus the character of Sylar. Maybe a first hint of a super villain?

Speaking of Sylar, I'm quite surprised by the amount of gore that is in the show. For an 8:30 time slot, it's pretty full on. Anyway, I'll keep watching. Shows like this are built for keeping people hooked, and it's certainly still got it's hooks in me.

Call me a perv or whatever, but Ali Larter (Nikki) is reason enough to watch this show.

That said, episode 2 was also fantastic. Wasn't expecting Hiro to have what happened to him, for example. Again I can see the potential in this show and will be watching as more episodes air. Even if I do end up disliking the show (although I doubt it), like I said, Ali Larter... icon_wink.gif

icon_lol.gif Someone's been looking at the show from a different angle. icon_wink.gif

If you're interested in the second season (and Heroes in general), take a look at this: http://www.ifmagazine.com/feature.asp?article=1857

Yes, epsiode 14 was very interesting. There are many questions to be answered. Episode 15 isn't far off though (should be available tomorrow)!

well like Matt3 i've only been tuning in via Channel 7

and loving every moment spent staring blankly at the screen icon_razz.gif

Unfortunately though, i now know 2 people who will no longer be watching the show, after my request to just give it some time, and enjoy the story, my GF and my mum (a superhero fanatic, well Smallvile/Superman anyway) won't watch it on account of the amount of gore in the show

pity, but i'll still be tuning in each week

can't look away icon_biggrin.gif

That's a bit of a shame, you can set them an example. icon_smile.gif The gore doesn't really bother me, you know it's not real, at most you might wince a bit.

The first two eps on channel 7 without a STB were 4x3, and it looked terrible. The only thing I can think of is its been badly trimmed. Can anyone tell me if the show is originally 16x9? (or 14x9, or whatev the TV standard for widescreen is)

The show is interesting for sure, but it is far from gripping or exciting. Its actually really slow. I can't help but feel the first two episodes could have easily been edited down at least by half and still been able to tell the same story at a more acceptable pace. It is only two eps in, and it is definitely interesting, so I am hoping that the pace picks up really quickly. I also hope it becomes more episodic. If those two things happen I just may stick with it.

But again, if anyone can tell me.. is the show in widescreen?

Yeah, it should be in widescreen.

As for the slow pace, it's a drama at heart and some storylines are slower in parts. But I don't find it slow. Once you get into it more, it doesn't really matter. A story is a story.

I watch the show to and I love it, always been a fanboy for these type of shows, just hoping it stays around long ago if you know what I mean (I hate cancels) but the show is good so I doubt it.
