Good stuff!
Yeah, I'll be at the next Eminence Melbourne event, donning a Volunteer badge as usual, find me! I get to be totally standing next to Aya again! </fanboy>
But good interview, regardless! _________________ Host on Australian gaming TV show Level 3

Great interview.
"I don't know which of these have been released in Australia"
* Chrono Trigger - nope
* Chrono Cross - nope
* Xenogears - nope
* Xenosage Episode I - severely edited
* Shadow Hearts series - yes
* Mario Party - yes
It seems the better the game, the less likely we are to get it.
"My favorite composers are Maurice Ravel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Claude Achille Debussy, Robert Alexander Schumann, AntonÃn Leopold Dvorák and Gustav Holst"
IMO every RPG composer has copied Holst! Definitely heard some Debussy influence in Chono Trigger though.

"* Xenosage Episode I - severely edited"
Yeah... so much so that they severely edited it into a DVD movie of all the cut-scenes
His work on the Shadow Heart series is absolutely brilliant in my opinion. _________________

Was it more edited here than the US? I thought the US one just had segments cut out of 2 cutscenes.
More info on Mitsuda in Australia please! Eminence doesn't even list the Passion concerts on their site ~_~ _________________ Playing: 30sec Hero, Scribblenauts, Dungeon Crawl

Really looking forward to this! Love both their work... Listening to BOF5 now
And yeah Xenosaga Ep. 1 only got released as a DVD movie bundled with Xenosaga Ep. 2 in PAL territories, the GAME NEVER got released here.
And no, neither did Chrono Cross... Which again is a really big shame... Squares excuse for that was that it was near impossible to translate - which is kinda true, but from memory most of us in Aus speak English.... ugh... If you can track down a copy it's definitly worth playing. Xenosaga 1 is still for sale - got mine from tronixweb

speaking of yasunori mitsuda, he's visiting australia!!!
He'll be at the Passion concert, held by Eminence.

this would be a great chance to see if you can meet him first hand and possibly get his autograph and a little conversation!

Yasunori Mitsuda, my favourite VG composer. If you haven't heard the Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross soundtracks, do everything in your power to listen to them
It's good stuff. _________________
