I tried finding Shadow Of The Colossus at the Brisbane City store yesterday and failed. I did pick up their final copy of The Warriors on the Xbox though (FINALLY!).

the EB store was greatful to get them in actually, within a day they had sold 4 of them and the manager was asking if I had anymore 
EB makes heaps on their traded in games so they generally don't care. Plus plenty of people on other forums have reported that EB employees were going to Big W themselves and buying games then trading them into the stores they worked at.

Or, for a more literal example... Metroid Prime Hunters for 69.95 new, or 64.95 second hand.
Sure it means that they will actually offer decent money to people trading in their games, but in the end there's not enough of a saving to make it worthwhile (and then imports are 80 bucks, that's lame).

I had a DS game that they sold 2nd hand for 59.95 but would only give me 19.95, that doesn't seem like a decent offer. I think I sold it on ebay for about $33.

I remember trading in a game for $17 as I couldnt sell it on ebay for even $20. Next week went into the store and they were trying to sell it for $79.95  I dont think it's sold yet after 4 months

I think it's worse when they keep the original RRP way after the game has gone to a platinum price .. eg the last sale had a number of secondhand games at 50% off which equated to the RRP of the new game

hehe I went into a recently opened EB at my local shops and they had a copy of GT4 2nd hand $49.95 and they also had it new for $29.95.. The hell?
I sold them some games I'm never gonna use, only got $63 but meh better than having them sit on the shelf slowly decreasing in value.

Unfortunately that's EBs style, when games go platinum throw a "sale" and claim said title is now 50% like they're the only store doing it. Although recently Ive seen print ads from K-Mart and Target doing similiar "now $48.94 reduced from $99.95"

^ False advertising. Platinum games are often not the same product as the previous full price package. I'm onto them.
