Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Mario, a NDS Tour was made to celebrate it. Official Site here.
When I went to the event on July 2, at Indooroopilly, I met one of your Staff members. I had taken alot of pictures and I didn't really have any idea of where to post them, but he said that I could post it here. I can't remember his name, but please don't ban me for spam. It just happened today and I had hastily Photoshopped together some good images that youmay find interesting. I'll post some more later, perhaps at my blog, like he suggested.
This is all on Imageshack.
Some nice Swag. - You get the Strap by showing them an SMS you get if you signed up for it. The Pen comes in Red, Blue, and Green, and they gave them out there. The Belt could be won by Competition Finalists and by answering trivia. The staff member got three belts, I think.
New Super Mario Bros. Mug - I won this by answering some trivia. "Which game was it where Mario is the villian?"
Mario bean Bag - They had these for people to sit and rest on. The Grand Prize winner got one of these.
A Grand Prize - Rare official artwork of Super mario world or something.
Nitro Dev system/Sticker - A Development System for the Nintendo DS. Note the Sticker. Woops.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the info. I was curious to what the SMS freebie was. I only just signed up for the alerts yesterday so does anyone know if the Sydney ones have been sent yet? _________________

That Nitro Dev system is really cool, I'd like one of them. A DS-TV adaptor, sweet. _________________

Seeing the snapshot of that Mario bean bag made me question my motives. My motive of holding back and not stealing it. _________________

True, but they're probably lame and mean Wario Land.
Here's a tough one for ya - who was the (long forgotten) main character of Donkey Kong 3 (No Googling!).

^No googling needed
It was that guy with the spray gun (for fly spray); his name was Stanely the Bugman
& i thought Mario played the villian in Donkey Kong Junior? (that's Donkey Kong 2's real name aint it?)
& how was Mario the villian in Wario Land? _________________

Yes, DK Juniour is DK2's real name, but both were released as seperate game n Watches. Mario is the 'bad guy' in Wario Land because he steals Wario's trasure at the end.

^ I'll look out for you (i suppose; saying you look like a Brendan is VERY broad; so send me a pic of what you look like, PM or post it in the 'Post your pix' thread, cause thats what it's there 4)
If you didn't know; I'm trying to get together as many Palgn NSW/Sydney peeps to come along to these events, another person to add to that list is great (the list is in the 'soo, who's going to the second connection tour?' thread; PAGE 8)
EDIT: soo is David comin along? And what did Primator say when u asked him about it Ganon? _________________

*adds Primator's name to the list*
Yeah i suppose so (in regards to Mario Kart training comment); but at least some training is better than nothing
Ohh & here's a great tip of how to train in Mario Kart:
- go into single player VS mode (i.e. only versing computer players)
- set the computer AI to HARD
- tracks set to Random
That is the most accurate you will get in versing the type of ppl who will be taking part at the Tours*
*tip thanx goes to scythian_reaper
I really hate how you can't verse a computer opponent in Mario vs Luigi mode (NSMB)! _________________

^set it to 150cc as well.
with NSMB, just keep looking at the map on the bottom screen to see where the stars are. most people are newbs and just run around and not know where the stars are even bouncing around. also collect lots of coins when theres nothing else to do, because once you get 8, you get a bonus item. sometimes it's the giant 'shroom and you just annihalate the opponent. oh and also, if you know they have a star, just keep trying to shoot fireballs at them and jump on their head, and they will lose their star.

Thanks for the tips, ive been practising today with my friend and I ended up winning each time. And I played a couple of online games now I have a 4-2 win loss rate - which I spose is decent? _________________

Are you serious? I only got Mario kart a short time ago, but I just did as you described above (on 150cc) and basically won every time. The 150cc cups were waaay harder the that.
