Why stop posting here though? Going by what's happened just in this thread, if you post something, people will see it and probably reply. 20 or so people have moved on? There are new people signing up here all the time, and the previous community wasn't as huge as it thought it was. 90% of users browsing the forums before the server upgrade, as it turns out, seem to have been bots.
So we just need a new bunch of people to get the ball rolling again, and for all we know, with some new faces, a few changes and tweaks... this place could end up bigger and better than it was before.
The fact that the server upgrade went ahead, and the site is still here, that alone gives me the impression that something must be in the works. Maybe something different and fresh...
It's an exciting time to be a member of PALGN if you ask me.

Wow, even you guys that have 'moved on' are still scanning the site for new posts. Didn't even take 2hrs for replies, and that's on a Friday night, when all the cool people are supposed to be out starting their weekends...
How many people would be able to stay away if something like a Game Exchange v2 happened?
I don't think your we have moved pics and poorly animated tumbleweeds are going to be able to deter new people from posting, why don't you just let it go and actually move on.

Nope, the tumble weed isn't to deter users, it's there because it's funny. And true. Whats with this one man revolution of trying to get PALGN 'back together'? It's cute at the best of times.
I still don't think you realise how the GE isn't coming back in a hurry, especially with such a nothing community. If you knew anything about the behinds the scene shit of the last one, you'd know it isn't 100% feasible at the best of times.
Oh, and by the way, your avatar isn't within PALGN guidelines and is over the size limit. Might want to get that checked out.

Because we post on another site now? There's no point in posting up the same rant on two separate forums with basically the same members and having the same people read/respond twice, it's just pointless and confusing.

Just look at the site. Clearly 98% of us have 'moved on.' It was never intended to be in a literal sense, rather moving on and becoming an active member of another community. A few of us still have a soft spot for the site (I do at least) and will never really leave, but we'll just never bother posting anymore, which you can clearly see, and we mainly come back to point and laugh anyway. The only times we have posted lately have simply involved tumbleweeds/laughing at general emptiness of the site, and making stupid replies to spam threads.
Seriously dude, if you sift through all the shit this forum has produced recently, you'll find there has been about 15 real, genuine posts relating to discussion of games/movies/life in the last 6 weeks, and half of them are from you and Admeister. It's dead.
It was called "PAL Gaming Network" for a reason. Now it's just a PAL system link.

Out of respect for those that may decide to stick around, and those that may sign up in the future, I wish you guys would actually be a little more mature about this, that's all.
You have your rocket site now. The time for maliciously trying to damage PALGN for the sake of poor old James V, who was (gasp!) replaced, has passed. Yeah, no one posts here much right now lolololol GO TEAM JAMESV WOOHOO WOW WE REALLY SHOWED YOU GUYZ... Whatever. Get over it, be adults, move on and get back to what you're doing so that this place can grow.
There's plenty of room on the internet for both sites, theres no need for continuously trying to beat PALGN into the ground.
If you were mature, and if you were confident in the future of rocket, I don't see why you'd bother tbh.

Because PALGN was always the height of maturity
No one's actively posting here because the forum is damn near empty and full of ugly ?. There's also no real mods and no active staff anymore.

Seriously though, Discosis acknowledged the non-printable characters everywhere in the other thread. Obviously the server transition wasn't the simple process that everybody was expecting, I'm sure fixing these little bugs are on his to-do list though.
He also posted a while back that he'll be writing a new front-end for the site eventually, so that could be pretty cool too...
Who knows what is being prepared behind the scenes?

That you think one person caused the whole community to move shows how naive about the whole situation you are. You may also like to note that he didn't post any images or encourage the "malicious damage" that occurred. Many of the staff quit well before he did because of a number of factors, including Roland's unprofessional attitude toward anyone who spoke directly to him. Perhaps it is you who should be an adult instead of targeting someone - who put a lot of hard work into the site before he was unfairly removed - with petty sarcastic comments.

Yes, I ask this question without trying to start a flame war or anything.
It's just that this forum is running on a dodgy server with a future with no direction. Nothing has been done by the owners to keep the website running at this point and with the single thing that held PALGN together, the community moving on, the logical thing would have been to come with us.

Not everybody is the same and there are other forum communities out there other than RC and the now defunct PALGN, I would have been more shocked if the PALGN community actually made the migration in its entirety.
