I'm pretty sure you can't, but it'll grab it's passive abilities like extra magic defense etc.
I infused my Green Chocobo with a couple of monsters and now it has 36% physical damage reduction, 40% magic damage reduction etc. Only thing with infusion is that you have to level up the monster so it can learn the abilites you want to pass onto another creature...
Incidentally does anyone know of a medic other than Noel who can learn Curaga? _________________

Unfortunately not. The monsters have to be of the same role to inherit skills. _________________

Now my exams are done and dusted, I have finally started FFXIII-2. I'm liking it so far, but have no idea what I am doing with my leveling. I'm just pumping all my CP into Ravager for Serah and Commando for Noel. I haven't unlocked the other Roles yet. I'm thinking this isn't the best way to proceed though. _________________

There's nothing wrong with that. That's how I started out playing the game as well. Once you have more roles, you can think more about it. _________________

To get the best out of each character you should only level up their favoured roles on the big spheres, as you get extra role bonuses(ie. extra magic if you upgrade ravager on a bigger sphere). _________________

I wouldn't worry if you've already distributed your CP randomly. The game is ridiculously easy and I don't believe you can ever screw yourself out of beating all the optional bosses.

What level bonuses did you guys go after first? My sister says to get the boosts, as those options disappear later. That true?
I really want the ATB gauge.
EDIT: I went with the RAV Boost I and II for Serah, and COM Boost I and II for Noel. I bet I regret it. Really think I should have got the ATB gauge and unlocked some other roles. :S _________________

By the time you max out the crystarium you'll have levelled up enough to aquire all the bonuses. However, the earlier you get the ability bonuses the more benefit you'll get from them since you'll be getting boosted stats earlier in the game. That means your max stats should be higher overall. It didn't stop my upgrading my ATB gauge earlier on though... _________________

I did the ATB gauges first then I'll do the boosts as you've selected them.

Anyone know what the new 1,04 patch does for this game? 33mb, must be a minor update for some DLC i'm assuming. _________________

I'm starting to get burnt out, which is exactly what happened with the first one. I don't find combat stimulating at all, hell, most of it is 'press A to win' (auto attack) with the odd paradigm switch every now and then. Ah well, I may just rush to the end and youtube the special ending, but I'll see how it goes.

Most of the game is like that, but just like FFXIII most of the combat challenge is from facing the extra bosses etc.
Like some of the boss fights for the paradox endings are actually quite difficult.
Edit: Anyway, with any luck I'll platinum this game tonight. I just need to complete the bestiary to get the last fragment, then I just need to clean up a few trophies(capturing Don Tonberry, beating a particular rare monster in Oerba and doing 1000 total paradign shifts) before completing the game again to get the secret ending which I'm hoping is worth the effort. _________________

I'm finding this too. I feel like I'm getting near the last quarter of the game and there's still no challenge at all. If I switch to my SAB roles and fully debuff the enemies or bosses, they die in about 10 seconds. I'm feeling like there's little point in customizing or powering up my party or paradigms at the moment. I suppose I just have to bear it until the extra bosses start becoming available.

Been running around in circles for a few hours trying to catch an Albino Lobo in the Bresha Ruins because a friend of mine said they make a great early RAV. Frustration is really setting in. They appear so rarely and when they do, no crystal. *sad face*
EDIT: Oh baby! Should have whinged earlier. Just got the sod. _________________

I didn't even face an Albino lobo until yesterday evening when I turned on the fragment ability to face stronger monsters so I can complete the bestiary. _________________

Well as I had hoped I got the platinum last night and well, without spoilers the secret ending really made me reflect on everything that's happened. The game is much, much darker than what it initially appears to be. _________________
