This is exactly why i have yet to start season 2. It worries me they have not really stuck to the original content... I remember them saying ohh we don't want to make it word from word because people who read the comics would get bored but to me it makes NO SENSE. I just feel more people watch tv shows then read comics.... arghhh hopefully i will start season 2 soon. _________________

Those scenes in the bar was very well done and that ending. Also this is the first episode without Darabont.
Ratings have hit over 8 million for the episode 8 in america.

Bar scene saved that ep. It was otherwise rather dull. Time to move on writers, the farm arc is draggggggggggggggging! _________________ Shin J Leon.

There's a second season already? Probably pass. With the direction that the writers took with the TV series, I doubt some of the more iconic scenes from the comic will make it onto the screen.
The **** and torture scene with Michonne is a prime example. This scene is brilliant because it just shows how more fucked up the "good humans" (aka Rick and co.) are in comparison to the cast that is classified as "bad".

Rick killed guys were looking somewhere to , they desperate. could avoided all allowing sanctuary the
EDIT: I do understand why he did it, it's easier to stick with people you know you can trust than to risk bringing in new folks.
Still it seemed like a dick move, but I guess the TWD world is different like that.

And the fat dude was like talking about sex and so forth. No doubt they would have been trouble and attempted to take control of the group, **** blah blah blah.
I think it was also suppose to show that Rick had moved his mindset into the looking after his own at any cost instead of trying to help everybody. _________________ Shin J Leon.

Those guys were totally suspicious and aggressive. They also went on the attack first. I think Rick's honor is still in tact.

Yes, up to issue 90. The TV series started close to the graphic novels in the first episode, then it took a strange tangent that I didn't agree upon.
Books are better.
Plus it has more fucking, more backstabbing and more removing of fingernails. Exactly what I'd expect from the collapse of society.

He did what he had to do, he couldn't trust the two of them so letting in an unknown number of strangers into their group which are already going through some issues to say the least is a bad idea.
I think Rick was going to kill them no matter what but I think it was intentional on the directors part to have Dave go for his gun first. Rick getting the jump on Dave and shooting him while he was pouring a drink would make him look more of a stone cold killer, than someone protecting his family and friends.
If it was Shane in there instead of Rick, he would have shot them as soon as they asked about the farm. _________________

So, I see we're not bothering with spoiler tags any more.

^ I was wondering about that, actually. I wandered into the thread a few days ago, and noticed people were rather diligent in using spoiler tags. For this latest episode, no one has done so. I admit, I didn't bother because my post just expressed opinion on facts about the episode that were already on display, but I think people (including myself) must be more considerate in future. I know I'll be pissed if anyone spoils Ep9 for me. _________________

No big deal, I actually didn't see your post. Just thought people needed a gentle reminder... did sound a bit snarky though, so sorry everyone.
But yeah, please use spoiler tags folks.

David Morrissey To Play The Governor On AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’
| Quote: | David Morrissey (State Of Play) has landed one of the most anticipated roles on AMC’s The Walking Dead. The British actor is set to join the megahit zombie drama as a new series regular in Season 3, playing The Governor, a popular character from Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel that serves as the basis for the AMC series. The Governor is the leader of Woodbury, a small settlement of survivors, and becomes the chief antagonist for The Walking Dead‘s lead Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group.

Not a fan of The Walking Dead but I love playing any kind of "kill-that-zombie" video games.
