Sazh download story content coming in February

Also mentions a casino card game (surprise!) and some costume download content, with a knight costume for Noel and an er... swimsuit for Serah...

Okay so I'm about 5 hours in. It's pretty enjoyable so far, but did not pull me in immediately like XIII did. I didn't do any research regarding XIII-2 besides watching the trailer and peeking at review scores, so I could keep everything a surprise. I was confused out of my mind then, when the whole monster thing was introduced.Figured it out since then, though. But unfortunately, with the way I play games, I probably won't put any effort into leveling my monsters up until I get three or so which I know I'll keep and use until the end, and then just put in all the hoarded drops.

i'm about 12 hours in now and trying to decide whether i should be concerned about Noel and Yuel considering how old she looks... and i thought Snow and Serah looked wrong in the previous game =/

I must be going blind because I don't see a difference between 13 and 13-2 graphics wise.

I'd say the graphics are slightly worse, but it's still a great looking game. I was at EB yesterday, and they had videos of the game playing, I was like "damn, I never quite reealise just how good that game looks". icon_smile.gif

I finished it yesterday but I'm not sure what to think. I knew of the whole TBC issue but it all just failed to get a reaction out of me. I'd like to get some closure, whether they go about doing this through a sequel or DLC, I don't know.

What I do know is I'd much rather that they'd focus on Versus 13 already.

Lens of Truth did a analysis of it not too long ago. It performs almost identically graphics wise on PS3/360, but it's a definite downgrade from FF13.

Are there any particular parts that look downgraded or is just in general? It has been 2 years since I played 13 and it was on the 360 so yeah... maybe I've forgotten. Archylte Steppe in 13-2 looks jaw dropping through with all the swaying grass and the bloom from the stormy sky. It feels like they've really pushed the PS3 to its limits in that section.

It's likely a flawed way of thinking, but I don't think I could fully judge the ending until I see how the following events unfold - how everything all hangs together in the end story wise. I keep getting the impression that specific pieces of lore are being kept a secret.

Bah, I'm sure you've experienced the same thing. There's a difference between simply enjoying a game, and anticipating the next time you can play it. icon_smile.gif

Anyway I managed to beat the Long Gui tonight(Just...), I know if I did it post game it would be easy but I wanted to do it for the challenge. I'm well overlevelled for where I need to be in the game, I've maxed out 4 of each of Noel's and Serah's jobs and I've snagged Cloudburst as my ravager.

In terms of graphics I don't think there has been alot of change in the 360 versions of the game, the PS3 version on the other hand has been downgraded quite considerably.
But it also it a much less linear game so that might have contributed to the visuals as well

You don't, Australian accounts can download the DLC even if it's the European/UK version of the game. My copies of Ico/SotC and Arkham City were from the UK and I had no issues downloading DLC.
