I am really bad with spiders and roaches and bugs in general, and also tomato sauce. I don't even like having bottles of tomato sauce near me, although I'm okay with ones that are still sealed. I'm also terrified of dogs and some other animals and occasionally have panic attacks when pushed to do something to do with people that I'm really uncomfortable with - that started when I was doing a masters and had to give a talk in front of my lecturer, I never had those problems before (but now I still get those attacks even though I left that course over a year ago). There are other things that freak me out too but they're the first ones that come to mind.
If it counts, I also irrationally worry about crippling myself by straining/breaking my neck - I have a complete mental block about doing forward rolls because of this, even though I know if I do it properly I won't hurt myself. (Somewhat ironically I have no problem with being thrown in the air.)
Oh, and groups of holes (trypophobia). They just make my skin crawl. I'm mostly okay with honeycomb, but there's this artwork on the side of a building I go past on the tram that I cannot look at, it's kind of like a 3D model of frogspawn or something, and those awful lotus seed pods? I cannot take that shit. I try not to look too closely at surfaces that might have little holes in it (like cement sometimes, due to air bubbles). I'm not sure why this happens but it may have something to do with the bug phobia, it feels like little worms or bugs or something might crawl out of the holes even if that's ridiculous. _________________

On the corner of Swanston and Pelham? Yeah, I used to work just next to that. If it's any consolation, I always though that looked creepy too. _________________

lol - i had this whole post written out about how i didn't think i had any irrational fears, and then i read Denny's post in another tab, and realised mine: Dentists.
not just dentists actually, but i've this bizarre... i don't know, not fantasy, but it's like that - but i've this habit of imagining myself breaking my teeth. not by hand or anything, but like tripping and smashing my teeth on concrete or something.
it's just on me though. i can watch American History X or Marathon Man without cringing, but my teeth freak me out.
i think it actually stems back to primary school - where we had this big metal jungle-gym, and one kid vaulted from the top, but his toes caught on a bar and he landed, mouth first, on a lower bar, smashing out 4-6 teeth.

what about Aero bars, or do you just scoff them in one bite so you don't have to see the chocolately holes? _________________

I get this whenever I see the Wikipedia page for harlequin type ichthyosis. That picture is just.... brrrrrrrrrr.
(I've deliberately chosen not to directly link to that page, but if you really, really want to see it, just search for it on Wikipedia.)
And yeah, lotus seed pods (especially when they're photoshopped onto people which was a popular internet meme some years ago) are freaky as all hell.
Also, UVB-76. A mysterious radio broadcast that probably originates from Russia. It plays a buzzing sound, except that every few years the sound stops so someone can read out some numbers. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

You people are weird, with your fear of coat hangers and groups of holes. Bunch of basket cases.
The only thing I'm afraid of is the ghost of Ella Fitzgerald stealing my keys and melting them down to make a statue commemorating the first moon landing, which is encrusted with diamonds she stole from a zebra, who won them gambling on the outcome of episodes of The Deadliest Warrior.
Just like everybody else.

I fear two things mainly
and
I got over needles and dentists a while ago, but i do have recurring dreams about pulling glass shards out of my gums, and the other day i had a bit of steak caught in my teeth when i went to bed and dreamed i pulled a dragonfly wing out of my gums.
Got over needles after my trip to the hospital and got over dentists when i needed a root canal and i would have basically taken a hammer and smashed my teeth out to get rid of that pain, so dentist was a better option and now i go all the time. _________________ kill, kill, kill.....the white man. I actually did that as a kid just after I got my adult teeth. Fell off a skateboard and smashed my two front teeth on the edge of a drain. I'm missing my entire left front tooth and was left with only a nerve hanging out and half my right front tooth.
Actually doing it will get you over your fear of dentists pretty quickly, I was in and out of dentists for months getting it all fixed up. Then I had to go through it again when I turned 18 and they put in the permanent ceramic front teeth. It gets to the point were all the dentist stuff and needles in your gums and just weird dentists shit all becomes so completely blasé _________________

Yeah once teeth are broken (my front two with a metal baseball bat, caught the bottom of the top two as I was in the process of yelling / starting to yell at the time. Unexpected) and you also get over the fear of dentists and replace that with loathing when they start drilling your teeth without any sort of injection of painkiller. I tore the padding off the right arm rest because those people thought I was weasling around too much and strapped me to the chair so they didn't drill my lip.
Although mine are fragments re-pieced and effectively welded back onto my teeth after the first attempt got lodged into bread when I bit into a hot dog. So now, the entire back of the front two is like one giant ceramic plate to fuse the lower portion of the teeth with gusto. This also means that for about a decade and a bit I have not had toffee or anything sticky.

Likewise. The pain and discomfort tooth ache can cause is ridiculous, and going to the dentist really isn't an issue anymore. _________________

I hate not being able to move my arms (Tied up, small spaces etc).
I love to swim and would everyday if I could, but I also have a fear of water, mainly inland bodies like rivers, lakes, ponds, canals (why the hell people want to live near them is a mystery to me).

c0ckroaches. sickening, disgusting filth carrying vermin. have had a fear of them since I was maybe 11 or 12, just remeber coming home from sunday footy much in the arvo and crashing on the couch, when i woke up on the couch later on a slimy little bastard was literally crawling on my eyelid.
the sight of them makes me feel physically ill, usually have to get someone to stomp the little fuckers till i can go back in to the room where they are around. im cool with other bugs, im the kinda guy who will scoop up a wayward spider adventuring through my house and let them free in the garden, once even picked up a tarantula and let it crawl along my fingers to freak out the missus. just fucking hate roaches, even typing this post sends shivers up my spine. uuuuurgghh
edit: ha swear filter blocks the c*ck in c0ckroaches
