EA's GDC 2012 event (with a countdown) will be held on March 6, with a two hour livestream of the whole thing.
Of note is EA's choice to dub the event "EA Game Changers". This was their event title at E3 and, coupled with the PR, implies this will be a full scale conference with announcements and reveals.
So far we know two games being shown for sure. First is Medal of Honour 2;
And the next game from Maxis, which is probably Sim City Facebook;
As for games we know EA has in the works, but are yet to receive full formal reveals, or haven't been heard from in awhile, we have;
- Dead Space 3
- Dragon Age 3
- Command & Conquer: Generals 2
- Dante's Inferno 2
- Overstrike (Insomniac's game)
- Army of Four
Then there's the usual slug of sports games, a new Populous, whatever DICE has in the works that is apparently not Battlefield, and your usual rumour mongering.
I expect a lot of CGI reveals, with E3 following up with gameplay trailers. Might be time for Dragon Age III given Mass Effect 3 will be out on the same day. _________________

I enjoyed parts of the reboot, it was fairly samey for a lot of the game, but two stand out moments were:
• Storming a compound, watching a fellow Spec Op kick open a door, get jumped on by an enemy, counter him, throw him onto his back then stab him in the throat. It just screamed badass and was pretty hilarious.
• Down to the last few bullets, walls crumbling around you, enemies closing in from all sides, moving down the hills toward you as your team is on it's last legs, when suddenly helicopters. That part gave me the chills, and a "Fuck yeah!".
I liked the toned down action throughout the rest of the game, it gave it a bit more of a "little bit plausible" type feel, and contrasted well when some of the firefights really came to life. I must say I didn't feel like I was forcing myself to get it over with either, which is rare these days with a lot of games. _________________
