The "speculation" was that he told staff one reason for his absence (wisdom teeth removal) and told the forum proper another (open heart surgery) thus culminating in a lie to either party or both. It could probably also be construed that it is a lie that Roland wishes to sustain the forum when he has demoted and continues to demote anyone who could have kept order, but that'd also be an assumption.
Entirely depends on how you view the situation as to how you will view the comments people made.
