Unfortunately, I'm sort of bored of the game already. The story isn't interesting and is not presented in a captivating way at all (having ginormous black borders while speech is active is not good in this day and age, was acceptable back 20 years ago).
The combat unfortunately is very God of War esque, so it's mindless button mashing for most part. It's still very easy, even on the hardest difficulty. I've invested in just Blacksmithing and Sagecrafting, and it suffers exactly the same problem as Skyrim; the crafting professions are just too good.
I can play it in very short bursts, but I'm not likely to finish it. I played WoW for 5 years and enough was enough. This game was basically WoW in single player format and I don't think I can stomach anymore of it.

Exactly what happened with me WarAdept i first played it and was like holy shit this is awesome and slowly but surely it became overwhelming....
They also fucked the loot system where i was getting rares after rares so it became less fun... _________________

As much as I AM holding out for the inevitable price drop in 3 months time, part of me hopes it doesn't happen that quickly and the game becomes a sleeper hit so that it gives full return to the developers for trying a new IP...... _________________

I'm quite liking it so far, not sure how long my enjoyment will last but we'll see. I like the combat. But the story I don't really care about, I'm more interested in leveling up my own character and I'm just skimming through dialogue. No voice acting for the main character is always very detrimental to me caring about a story.
Unlike Cyph I've experienced no bugs or crashes on the PC version and it seems well optimized, not that it looks good or anything but it performs as well as it should do, constant 60fps. _________________

I found the demo pretty damn boring. Feels pretty much like a single player WoW with Darksiders kind of combat and...eh, not keen on carrot on a stick style progression. It seems solid, but unremarkable as it seems to just grab elements from every RPG imaginable and mash it together without excelling at anything at all.
Can see why people dig it though. _________________

The main thing that turned me off the demo was the "realistic movements". There was an obvious delay between moving the mouse, and your character turning, which was pretty jarring. I suppose it's something you'd get used to after a little while. Though Max Payne 3 will be similar, won't it?

Really? Hmmm, I can't figure it out, it crashes literally every 10 or so minutes for me. *sigh* Luckily I wasn't hyped for this, otherwise I would've been as disappointed when I played DA2.
Out of interest PixieGirl, what video card are you using? An nvidia?

No crashes here, HD6990.
Uninstall drivers, use Driver Sweeper in safe mode, then reinstall brand new ones. _________________

Tried that (well, apart from the driver sweeper) and still no love. I'll try driver sweeper. Failing that, I'll just wait for a patch or something. I'm reading of other people experiencing similar issues. Bah. It's a Sunday, I have nothing else to do except watch the cricket and the latest bunch of games I've bought from Ebay still haven't arrived ;(

Exactly what i thought kind of takes the fun away from getting a rare item. Also they should of put text in the rare items you pick up like on the screen, Cause i find myself picking up a lot of items and miss stuff.... _________________

IMHO what needs work:
Rare system to easy to get heaps of rares.
Profession system to me it seems very very unrewarding and i didn't really like it
Collecting system one button collection seems unrewarding to me.
Make the game harder.
hmm what else _________________

I'm on like 30 hours so far still really enjoying it.
So far I've only have two real issues with it.
Epics are useless. The amount of times I've found an absolute hardcore looking epic then realise it only does like half as much damage as my crafted sword is kind of retarded.
The Mini-map. The game would have been far better without one, I find myself playing by the mini map too often so I have to actually focus on not doing that.
I'm fucking loving the story though, other then the combat it's the one area that it really kicks the shit out of skyrim. I love the world, I love the concepts, the whole Songs of the Fae thing is a fucking head trip. The whole fateless person in a fate world is a great concept and I'm actually really interested to see where it goes.
I also love that you can fail. A quest giver for a quest in the spider town died so now that town is constantly trapped by spiders and I can't do anything. It actually makes me excited to replay the game again. Other then the two complaints I'm really enjoying this game.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is

Nice post ExpertGamer.
First impression; my eyes! Really doesn't look good at all. Bit sad that a 10 dollar game (Orcs Must Die) looks better than a retail one. I don't get the comparison to Skyrim at all. Feels more like Borderlands with the quest hubs and areas. I suppose the very basic system stuff like Alchemy, Lockpicking and crime work the same way but the defining factor of Elder Scrolls is its openness which is missing from Reckoning. The combat is solid but it's not as good as character action games. Going back to my Borderlands comparison that too had sub-par shooting but it's two aces were co-op and it's loot. Reckoning doesn't handle loot all that well. Story wise it has some neat ideas but how they present them to you is horrible. Zero connection to any character so far as you don't hang around long enough. I know I'm coming down negative, but it's still a good game. Just don't expect to much.

Have to disagree, although the forrest area you start in really doesn't do the art style justice. The plains you get into later look gorgeous. Although I suppose it's weather you like the art style or not. _________________
