Is that the one with three of them? I was like
"No biggie! Get ready to heal my chocobo! 5000 DAMAGE WHAT!?!?!?"
That's if you're talking about who I think you're talking about. |
I've only had 2 of them do Teraflare but it's still instant kill lol.
I'm guessing SEN/SEN/SEN, stop them from using Teraflare, or grind.

Honestly, there's also a bit of luck involved. The problem is that it's hard to know exactly when they will do it. Grinding can work, but it would take you a long time. After beating the game, I came back and fought them after maxing the Crystarium so that I could get the secret ending, and Noel was able to survive it through his sheer amount of HP (10,000). _________________

If you watch the middle one, it will say Count: 3, count 2 and then count 1, then launch this flare. On count 2, go to sen sen sen if you want to survive. I managed to survive a teraflare but all three of them is just curtains _________________

After like an hour of fighting I can still see all his moves and patterns in my head haunting me.
Pretty much every time he charges up anything or does a move that takes 3 seconds to launch just tortoise! _________________

Finally got around to fighting Caius again and it took me 26 mins to finish off his last form lol. I was playing it quite safe though.
The ending was ****ing amazing and I don't necessarily even want there to be a FFXIII-3. (I'm a bit of a sucker for this type of ending though)
I think Square-Enix would need to pull off something really special to warrant another sequel, but I'm definitely looking forward to their next FF release either way.
...and how did I not pickup that Laura Bailey voices Serah.

yeep! I just finished it a few hours after you Stone. I'm not sure about the ending... it's definitely interesting to say the least. lol
I'm off to collect all them fragments (side quest(platinum this shizz)) to see that extra ending. ...but yeah, I'm enjoying the game quite a bit for what it is.
Did anyone else squeal like a little girl when Blinded by Light was used as the main battle theme in New Bodhum 700AF. I know I did. _________________

I got the normal ending last night. Still have about 30 fragments to finish off for the better ending. I attempted the last boss twice. The first time it was taking way too long and seemed to be getting more difficult, so I re-equppied myself and levelled up a little bit, then smashed it too pieces in a few minutes.

So you get different endings based on how many fragments you have?
I'm currently gathering as many fragments as possible whilst I play through the game and I don't want to miss out on anything... _________________

Nah, there's the normal ending, the secret ending which you get when you have all the fragments and 8 paradox endings which you can't get until after you see the normal ending. _________________

That's not true, you can get a couple of the Paradox endings before getting the normal one for beating the game. Both Atlas and Royal Ripeness can be returned to and defeated for one paradox ending each. _________________

I really want to see the other endings as well, so I'll probably go for the Platinum.
It's a pity my backlog is already screaming at me.

The second round of DLC is incoming!
| Quote: | Jihl Nabaat to Fight in Final Fantasy XIII-2 Coliseum
Square-Enix is not content to pit its gladiators against random charioteers and caged tigers in its coliseum; they leave that to experts like Joaquin Phoenix (who I like to imagine holds gladiatorial matches in his backyard in real life). Final Fantasy XIII-2 players have more unique opponents on their hands, and recently leaked screenshots of PSICOM Commander Jihl Nabaat suggest that she’ll be next to step into the ring.
While Jihl was somewhat underutilized in FFXIII, much like the Turks’ Tseng in FFVII, she promises to be a worthy opponent in XIII-2′s coliseum.
Square-Enix has not yet given a release date for the DLC pack with Jihl, nor have they divulged whether, like Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar, she will become playable after defeating her. As always, we’ll keep you posted when official word comes out. |
I'd be pretty surprised if she's not playable. Interesting character to include. _________________

Well after beating Omega 10 times and still no crystal, I can happily say colliseum battles are getting overrated and once they add Cid and Rosch they should probably stop. _________________

Yeah, they do get a little tiresome. I've beaten Omega so many times that I've lost count, but no Crystal. On the other hand, I got Amodar on my first go, so... I hope they get on with some more substantial DLC soon. _________________

I haven't had much time to play this game due to working almost everyday, hopefully I can sink some time into this next week Monday. I like Noel though, very good choice for a lead protagonist. _________________

Well, I think I'm burnt out now at 147 frags. I just youtubed the secret ending and I think I am happy to leave it at that, unless some story dlc comes out.
Overall, I enjoyed the story. Character growth was my least favourite part of the game (with exception to monsters). Most of the fragments were well done, except for a few grindy ones near the end, which would have been better off as standard achievements.

Yeah I got 133 and all the paradox endings. Can't be bothered taking on Yomi at this stage. It's been a good 50ish hours though. Definitely one of my favourite Final Fantasy games. _________________
