Because I don’t wanna be left out.
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: It’s been an adventure charting the highs and lows of this billion-dollar franchise, and the one thing I wrote year-after-after for PALGN. My yearly pilgrimage to the games shop was always followed by countless hours of multiplayer, self-torture playing on veteran and the inevitable bible-like review. The backlash for giving Modern Warfare 2 an 8.5 out of 10 is one of my more unforgettable memories of PALGN (some thought it was too low, but Denny's awesome review for the PC version remained unscathed).
- Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow: Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror was my introduction to the series, and it knocked my socks off. The sequel improved on the formula, and despite being a PSP title, is one of my favorite games of all time. Logan's Shadow was also one of my highest scoring reviews.
- Conflict: Denied Ops: Absolutely terrible game. Still had plenty of fun ripping into it.
- Ace Combat: Assault Horizon: Fantastic and under-appreciated combat flight title. I think I was one of the only people to like it.
- Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker and Kasumi – Stolen Memory: The best game ever and the two best slices of DLC ever. Shadow Broker is probably my favourite review, conveying how engrossing this add-on was while building on the best game of this generation.

Amazing milestone for Jeremy, carrying this site till the very end. Your review for Musashi Samurai Legend stands out as my favourite.
I've written 50 reviews for PALGN,some of my personal favourites are:
Persona 4: My first article ever for PALGN, was really excited when this got published. The game itself was brilliant and a nice swansong RPG for the PlayStation 2.
Sonic Generations: Amazing moment, so much went into this review, so many emotions, and it turned out absolutely perfectly. My single most proudest moment as a writer.
Tron: Evolution: Game itself was meh, but it was my first world exclusive review!
Bayonetta: Ahh man things got crazy over this review ha ha...it was my first 9.5. To me, it's the best playing action game of this generation.
Hard Corps: Uprising: Probably my favourite XBLA/PSN title so far, awesome game which was a ton of fun to review.
Magna Carta 2: It was my first review code, and never before did I finish a RPG within 7 days just to get a timely review done. Was a pretty cool experience/
Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light I think only the writers will get this, but this was the best 7.5 I ever handed. Interesting review, I never wrote one quite like it again.
Reviews aside...
Eminence Coverage Concert review, backstage interviews, the whole experience was incredible and my first time doing that sort of thing. Was an honour meeting Othani and Zur.
Sound Test Enjoyed writing these so much, and was really glad that the readers enjoyed them. Jarrod carried the feature beautifully when I couldn't. Cian and Adam did some really cool special editions of it. _________________

My official review count is 291. Shame I couldn't get to the 300, but damn it might be a good idea to go outside now

That is damned impressive, Jeremy. Has to be some sort-of record.
While I'm at it, thanks to all of the writers and community members who made this site what it is... or was. I'm not much of a joiner, but I joined this place, and stayed. That says a lot, believe me.
Also, I'm curious, do you guys retain copyright of your work? I'd hate to think that somebody else I won't even bother to name might continue to benefit from all your hard work.

So what's happening to PALGN that's causing all this nostalgia? Is PALGN finished?
Well if that's the case, I might as well write my personal eulogy:
While my personal heyday was back before there was even a website, and 99% of the people who I used to know from back then have left, I still enjoyed coming here all these years later.
Back during that heyday this seemed like the best place for discussion on the web. It wasn't as fast as the IGN boards, or as focused as the GameFAQs boards, and the community were pretty awesome all round.
As the site manifested, I'd be lying if I didn't say I found the site a little underwhelming. I remember James talking it up in the weeks prior, and thinking it sounded somewhat revolutionary. It never quite reached those high expectations, but thinking back it certainly did what James said it would. People from the community did post articles and reviews.
Around that time I guess I lost touch with the community, as didn't have the time or inclination to continue reading the hundreds of posts posted daily. Most of the people who's opinions I valued had either left or stopped posting, and gradually I started just reading the articles.
But eventually I started skimming over the articles, and just looking at the review score. It wasn't because I didn't value the writing, or the opinion, or the site. I just decided I wasted too much time reading gaming articles and not enough time playing them.
Well, I don't really know how to end this, but to all the people who posted on here, and to the people I regarded as my friends. Thank you, and so long.

Well, it's been great. Thanks to all the staff for all their fantastic reviews over the years. PalGN has been one of my most trusted review sites, and it's all down to you guys.

Oh 4 heroes and the magically imbued hats of many wonder that would have been a better game if you were a hat with a mouth, so you can tell the bawler hat to solve that mystery instead of having big headed individuals who can turn into animals do it. Sharpen those brims fellers, we're going to war without gloves kinda stuff, would have made a far better game in my skewed opinion rather than one I'm struggling to even get past half way in.
And I will forever hold much love to the podcast crew here, for my winnage and giddy replaying to ensure I wasn't mishearing it and some cunning doppelganger wasn't approaching.
