The original film was basically the best thing I saw at the cinema last year, so my hopes are high for this being even better.
It's about time someone brought back the big dumb action film.

What gets me is that they went ahead and made the first movie in an uncompromising fashion without people they really wanted (for example, JCVD). But Chuck comes along and the entire movie changes because of him?
Fuck that. I'd rather just load up Way of the Dragon and watch Bruce Lee kick his ass.

I can't say the first Expendables are good and I can't say it was bad either. It was just a star-studded mediocre film without a proper plot. Can the producer and director make such story/film better? I don't think so.
It could have been better if they let each star play their original roles:
Stallone = Rambo
Statham = Transporter
Jet Li = Gabe Law (The One)
etc...
Just because the movie was stuffed with soon-to-be-retiring stars doesn't mean it's worth-watching.
