I wonder if this game is going to have a classic movie in it, I was still amazed by the fact you could watch the whole of To Kill A Mockingbird in the first game. _________________ Currently Playing : Atelier Iris 2 (PS2), Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii), Legend of Heroes : Trails of the Sky (PSP), 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors (DS) and Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)

The street date has been broken, it's on the shelves now. _________________

Retail release does not have FOV options for PC, and on a lesser note no Eyefinity support.
Unless they patch in FOV options, not buying. The game is great, but low FOV on PC grinds my gears and makes me uncomfortable when playing. _________________

That's not a bad idea, it's easy to forget the details of the story over that much time. That said, there's a "Last time on The Darkness" feature which quickly covers the first game's plot before you start playing the game, so that's something.
As for The Darkness 2 itself, I'm enjoying it so far. There's a great sense of power as you run around with The Darkness by your side, and you can pick up lots of different objects to use in various ways, such as using car doors as shields and then hurling them to slice an enemy in half. The new visual style works really well 90% of the time, it gives the game a fairly unique look, some parts appear as though they've been ripped right out of a graphic novel.
The story seems good so far, but I've only completed the first couple of chapters. _________________

I want to get it but still have a backlog to play and purchase from last year, I guess I can add this one to the list now too. _________________
