My dear PALGNers,

Today is a special day. A sensual morning. A seductive breeze blows through the window and tickles my nose hairs with a hint of Chanel no 5. This can mean just one thing: an award ceremony is on the horizon. The hype has been building for literally hours; the whispers, the gossip the internet conjecture. And finally the time has come...

Ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, It is my esteemed honour to announce the 2011 PALGN awards.

Where other awards are given to reward achievement, or outstanding success, the PALGN awards are simply a celebration of YOU the forum member. Daily (sometime hourly), you log on and contribute to this site, each of your posts adding to the community and legacy that is PALGN. It is truly you, the humble user, hunched over your keyboard, squinting at the screen, scoffing your instant noodle dinner, that make this place great. And PALGN is great. Where else is there a place where your banal, uninformed opinion is met with such nonchalant acceptance? Where else do your petty, trifling, unimportant problems get an entire thread? And lets be honest, where else can you make friends with a face like that? So for all your hard work you are now nominated. Thats right all members are nominated for (almost) all categories.

With the pleasantries aside I give thee the awards. This year the awards will fall into three categories: General Foruming, which will include many of the familiar, popular categories. Gaming Awards, this is a gaming site after all. And lastly a new category: The "Personality" Awards, give for personal triumph, or triumph of personality.

The finest photos taken by PALGN members - they can be from either the photography thread in the creativity forum, the post your pix thread or from your secret surveillance camera.

The Placenta Award
The best member to have squeezed through PALGNs narrow hips, out the birth canal, to land in the forums with a moist smack in 2011

The Harold Holt
For the PALGNer most notable missing.... fuck it I'll just call it the Kyle Clathy award and be done.

LULZ King
The one who made you laughs like no other.

For the Fallen
Who was the best staff member in 2011? And are they still a staff member

Mod of the year
I've got a good Theory on this one.

The big one
User of the year. Who tops the boards? Who always gets your +'s?

For the worst offender when it come to spelling, grammar and typos (Should be a hotly contested category!)

Just a note on the rules -
You do not need to vote for every category if you don't want to.
You CAN vote for yourself
Special mentions are encourages and will be used in the case of a tiebreak
If you have a split decision (ie. Thundercurls and Stormo tied for most sexual) vote for both!

Thanks to all for your votes, I have enjoyed reading the many comments. There have been been a lot of members nominated so far, and let me tell you than many awards are still wide open. For instance, PC Fanboy (OR FANGIRL) is currently decided by a single vote and The big one in currently sitting on an 8-way tie! So if you havn't voted yet, rest assured that your vote will matter. You could tip the balance in the favour of your favorite member.



In other news, the prize has been decided. To refresh your memory all voters will go into the running to win a real-honest-to-god PRIZE! Just for voting.... for real.

Huge thanks to mrcool for very generously donating the prize. Now that I have dobbed him in, hopefully he will be online today to announce the details of the prize.
