The CPU seems to kick a lot of ass with Ivy from my experience. I don't like her butch appearence and she must be pushing 50 years of age now.

Is Amy in SCV?

Cause I love completly unsexualised chicks in games cause they're so damm rare. It's just a shame it's a costume that's been dropped from every subsequent game and in this one her alt is fucking ****-tacular.

So far I'm playing as Shakespear a william shakespear clone that fights with a spear (He's Notkillik). I've also made a Maxi style fat old elvis.

See I don't like that outfit. Not because she barely shows anything, just that it's not my kind of outfit for someone. It's like a pirate outfit and call me crazy but I don't really like pirates.

Anyway beat story mode like 10 minutes ago. Fuck I hate fighting Nightmare. He sure lives up to his name. I mean I can sometimes beat him twice in a row without him getting a single win andthen he can annihilate me 3 times in a row and beat me. He'a not QUITE that hard if I can stay on my feet. But once he floors me he can just link 10 moves/combo's and take my entire health bar away.

One thing that I hate is having no arcade endings. Just because it has a story doesn't mean it shouldn't have individual endings as well. I mean MK imo has the best story mode ever and it still has arcade endings for every character.

They always gotta make final bosses in fighting games balls to the wall difficult lol.

Is there a lot of single player content? That kind of sucks that there's no individual endings.

My copy probably won't get here for two weeks.

yeah Nightmare in story mode with Z.W.E.I... putting aside that the story never explained the relationship between the two, that battle was so hard I had to lower the difficulty. It really does suck that there are no character endings, there are a lot of interesting new characters that don't get any sort of development, all you know about them is how they look and platy >_<
Story mode got harder towards the end as I find Pyrrha and Patroklos's omega forms crappier than their original. Anyway the story was alright I did enjoy some of the cutscenes but you can sort of tell that the creator wasn't planning on making a SCV so this story was kinda just put together. Patroklos is like the biggest douche of all fighting game characters... I can't believe he is going to replace Siegfreid as the soul calibur 'good' lead -_- Pyrrha is fantastic though. Just wondering what the heck happened to Cassandra =( Also I wish the last boss as a character had a new fighting style rather than the 'random' character generator as that character is quite

I unlocked a new route in Arcade and you don't have to fight Nightmare.Unless it was because I played it on easy?

I desparately need some help in this fucking game. How the fuck do I beat opponents that don't give me a millisecond to do anything? If I do have time to attack, thhey just block and go on a 50 move onslaught and annihilate me in mere seconds.

I love this game and want to unlock as much as possible but it's not fun when I can't win a single fight unless I play the game on easy.

Yeah I worked it out, I must say I like the new guard system a lot more. It's actual moves now, as opposed to guess work. I like this.

Just finished the story mode, WOW! So great, I was surprised. The game is starting to really click with me. The more I play it the more I'm enjoying it.

I'm starting to also enjoy the 'world' a lot more. 3 and 4 kind of felt off in terms of the characters and settings. (I love 1, 2 though). 5 feels like it's getting back to it's roots. I love almost all of the new characters.

Still annoyed that Kilik is a stupid 'edge master'.

Interesting. I actually was shocked how much I enjoyed the story mode. It's about 2-3 hours worth of fun but it really adds depth to the new characters.

Sure, there is no story for the 'old' characters but do we really care? Soul Cal always had crappy 2 sentences with a bit of music anyway. The old characters just exist for the hell of existing and pads out the rooster.

I do think the game is probably slightly less characters then normal, probably due to the time constraints but the game itself does have a hell of lot of single player content, it has arcade mode plus the VF/Tekken style 'profile' fights, which I like.

I hope they do add some DLC in the form of characters and modes. The music is really awesome as well.

Also it's the only fighting game that doesn't let you choose wich character to play through the story in?

Mortal Kombat 9 got it's cock sucked hardcore for it's story and plays through in basically the exact same way.
