Made the list a bit longer so you can better reflect on all the time and money wasted on a children's toys. _________________

I'm probably mostly looking at the following, don't see myself buying all of them though.
PS3
BioShock: Infinite
FF Versus XIII
FFX
Starhawk
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Twisted Metal
Inversion
Vita
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
LBP
Sound Shapes
FFX
BioShock Vita (potentially)
3DS
Luigi's Mansion 2
SSB (potentially)
Out of all of them Infinite is what I want my hands on the most. _________________

Last year, in an effort to not buy a million games and never play them, I bought 3 new release games. I've yet to finish any of them. I've yet to even put a significant dent in one of them.
This year I'll be aiming for the same, if not less than that. Soul Calibur will probably sway me. If GTA isn't OMG SUPER CEREAL I WISH I COULD WIN AN OSCAR NARRATIVE that might be number 2. Assuming I don't cave an buy a 3DS, I'm doing A-OK so far.

^ But that means you've missed out on so many small, indie games. Seriously - some of the best games I played last year were tiny indie games I'd not heard of before they came out. I hope that happens again in 2012 _________________

Madden 13
Fifa 13
MGS HD Collection (i know it's been out for awhile, i was going to import it... but i can hold off for our local release)
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
GTA V (will probably buy it on all platforms like i did GTA IV and previous GTA's)
Thats about it for me, however there will likely be many more titles that i will pick up along the way.

These are the games I'm looking at for the time being:
Metal Gear HD Collection - technically a 2011 game, delayed for us PAL people.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Metal Gear Solid 3DS
Mass Effect 3
Max Payne 3
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Yakuza Dead Souls
Tales of Graces F
Binary Domain
The Last Of Us
Grand Theft Auto 5
Soul Calibur 5
Street Fighter x Tekken
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Assassins Creed 3 or whatever they want to call it. Assassins Creed: Again.
Lollipop Chainsaw
Call of Duty: 2012 edition.
Persona 4: The Golden and Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena if they come out in 2012.
"Maybes"
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Aliens: Colonial Marines
Ninja Gaiden 3
Diablo III
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Hitman: Absolution
Prototype 2
If a sequel to Castlevania Lords of Shadow comes out this year I'll buy it day one.
TL:DR
I'm buying lots. _________________

I'm happy to break my rule for some really good, $10-$15 (or, better yet, less!) downloadable / indie games. Last year I only bought one downloadable game (that would be NBA Jam, so it wasn't even small and/or indie), but I'm more than happy to buy more than that this year to tide me over.
......to that end, I still need to buy Super Meat Boy, too.

- Mass Effect 3
- The Last of Us
- Grand Theft Auto V
- BioShock: Infinite
- Borderlands 2
There are plenty of other games I'm also interested in, but I'm going pass on most of them this year. I think it's finally time to finish what I already have rather than constantly buying new games and not finishing old ones. _________________

In a strange yet hilarious twist of fate, it turns out the recently announced XCOM strategy game will be the only XCOM anything releasing this year. First person shooter XCOM has been delayed, again, and now isn't due until 2013.
Oh, and it's been in development since 2007. Development hell, that is. _________________

Doesn't help that they sacked some of their Canberra staff and told the rest they're working on something else instead. Who knows when that one will be released now. _________________

Since my last post in the thread. Kingdoms Of Amalur has gone from a game that wasn't even on my radar, to possibly my second most anticipated game fo the year (Behind Assassins Creed which will forever be my most anticipated game of every year)
Seriously I am so fucking pumped for Amalur now, and every preview of it I've seen has confirmed that it's going to be fucking awesome. _________________

Talking of wallets bleeding, I was on an American forum and they have a thread where they keep yearly gaming tabs, kind of like a bragging-rights summary of "your newest purchase"... anyone interested in doing that here? _________________
