If you use Chrome you can right-click and have the page Google translated. You need to swap to the Wi-Fi console, (It's on the 3G by default) and then select the console, memory card, pre-order pack and a game to add to your cart.
The discounts are applied during the very last page of checkout. _________________

Is there any report on how to make the ac charger be compatible with aus mains ports? I assume its 100-240 like the ps3 and many other devices and you can either use a clover/8 ended ac cable from the charger? _________________

Can't say I'd pay $300 for something without courier or even tracking but that's just me.
I paid 29.99 for HSG and Wipeout from Amazon so I'm glad I got those prices before they went up. I noticed Wipeout is listed as $39.99 but with 25% off so it's still 29.99 for now. PSN price anyone?

A bonus for buying Lumines on Amazon?
| Quote: | This would be one of those instances in which buying retail rather than via the PlayStation Network isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Lumines: Electronic Symphony, due out with the PlayStation Vita at launch. Should you choose to purchase the game from Amazon, the site is offering three exclusive MP3 downloads for the title.
All three tracks are composed by Makoto Asai, who has written for many previous PlayStation titles, and are featured in the game’s secret stages that unlock as you progress.
Lumines: Electronic Symphony features tracks by Kaskade, LCD Soundsystem, Chemical Brothers, Bebel Gilberto, Goldfrapp, Josh Wink, Safri Duo, and Amon Tobin. The game will be available on February 14 on Amazon, just in time to join the Vita’s First Edition Bundle on shelves. |

Believe it or not but I've only just earned my first ever Trophy for PS3 (I had only played MGS4 which has no trophies).
I played Wipeout HD which I got for free from Sony and boy is it awesome. I'm definitely confident in my decision to pre-order the Vita version.
I hope the Vita version has just as cool music too it's awesome.
Gonna try and finish HD before I get the Vita now

Ciel was kind enough to let me play around with Uncharted and UMvC3 on his Vita today.
I was quite impressed as the games looked really nice and played well.
I wasn't really in a rush to get a Vita but bring on Persona 4: The Golden!

Just to remind all of you ordering from Amazon, all first party vita games come with online passes so unless you're using a permanent US psn account then don't expect to be able to play online. I ordered a whole bunch before realizing this and canceling

Ah, I hadn't thought of that! That could be a serious issue if they use totally different codes than the PAL ones do. Hmm, being limited to a single account could end up being more of a pain than I'd expected. _________________

IMHO online passes should be region free. The whole point of online passes is to make sure you buy the game new. Now that i think about it maybe its more of a region thing and trying to price gouge... Seriously why the fuck are online passes region locked arghhhhh. _________________

When it comes to the Vita, online passes will be even more important as you need an online pass for ANY social aspect. Importing tracks, friends ranking + anything else that has anything to do with PSN.

Lets not almost forget Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning with there online pass affecting single player content. Whats to say that won't come into games as well.. _________________

Came so very close to removing Hot Shots Golf from my order and replacing it with Lumines. Not sure I'm going to like HSG but then I've never played Lumines.
Fortunately I can easily sell HSG if I don't like it. Just not on this forum unfortunately (where does everyone sell stuff these days?)

He lost me as soon as I read the verdict and saw that he said it was too expensive, and started comparing it to an iPod Touch. He also complains about the battery life in the verdict, but then says this in the review:
| Quote: | | As for the Vita's rivals, the Nintendo 3DS also produced a 'meh' noise when we tested its battery, yielding similar results. A smart phone or iPod touch will also chew through battery if you're indulging in graphically demanding games. So while the Vita is rubbish away from the mains, we're not convinced the competition fares any better. We'll be keeping an eye on the Vita's battery performance, and if we notice anything else, we'll update this review to let you know. |
Yeah, thanks for that. That review convinces me of nothing, except that he's not a very good reviewer. He mentions the iPod Touch no less than 10 times during the review, sounds like he's got some alternate motivation to me. _________________
