I read that earlier today, makes me wonder if Punk will drop the strap to move over to Smackdown now as the companies number 2 face... _________________

So Brock Lesnar lost his fight today in the UFC against Alastair Overeem. After the fight, Brock announced that that fight would be his last in the UFC.
I bet Vince jizzed his pants to that news. Just in time for Jan 2 too

At first i was frustrated that Jericho didn't say anything, but then i realised that he's too smart for that to be all there is to his return. Could you imagine if that was just a one-off appearance though? lol
Without saying one word (into the mic), he had already turned some of the audience against him and has some people eagerly anticipating to see what happens next.
Post Raw interview with Jericho.

I honestly thought it was all a joke initially. As in Jericho trolling everyone who thought it was him by making a one-off appearance and not talking, with the 'real' returning superstar making an appearance straight after.
Then it went straight into the main event. Took me a few minutes into the main event to realise what actually just happened, turned out to be a genius hell turn.

Rather entertaining Raw. Team 'Best in the World' ended up leaving CM Punk on his own and Funkman finally cemented his status as a heel. Given how Raw ended, I'm certain Foley is going to get involved in the WWE Championship match now. _________________

Going to be a pretty boring PPV I think, Y2J will win, Punk will retain to setup Wrestlemania?
I know usually Royal Rumble is good for some surprise entrances....I'd really love to see The Rock get thrown in there, just on the off chance that he'd be able to clash/team up with Mick Foley, would be ridiculously fun.

Hopefully this year's Royal Rumble will actually be a rumble. I think the past two years didn't even have more than ten competitors in the ring at the same time. _________________

My Rumble prediction: Jericho to come in as #30, walking to the ring after everyone has already been eliminated and winning without having to wrestle.
I was thinking the other day, if they ever make anything of the female influence from Y2J's cryptic videos, it'd be interesting if it turned out to be a metaphor for the championship belt, similar in the way that guys might give something they own a girl's name.
Interesting fact: CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, who were #1 and #2 at last year's Rumble, are both heading into this year's as champions.
While all rumours point to Punk and Jericho facing off at Wrestlemania, i think it'd be exciting and different if either Punk and/or Bryan pull double-duty and enter the Rumble after their championship matches. Then if either of them won while still holding their belt, they could challenge the other champion and unify the belts at Wrestlemania

Well I thought the Royal Rumble was a pretty average PPV in terms of wrestling, but it was pretty entertaining anyway.
The Bryan match was pretty piss poor, and the Rumble itself had too many entrants of the past, but all the gimmicks were enjoyable, loved the Ricardo chants, and loved the result!

Yeah it was a pretty ordinary PPV.
I didn't mind the Cage match. It was just too short and the finish was really anti-climatic.
Cena/Kane didn't accomplish anything.
Punk/Ziggler was a good match, but they've had plenty of good matches. Lauranaitis' involvement was weird and confusing and made Ziggler look like a loser.
The Rumble was a mixed bag. There were a couple of really cool comedy spots, Kharma return was sweet and the finish was fantastic but so many spots were wasted on jobbers or non active wrestlers which made the match drag on in sections. Also thought The Big Show ruined half the match by dumping The Miz and Cody Rhodes as if they were jobbers. It completely ruined any kind of momentum they would have gained by doing an awesome job in the Rumble.
Average Rumble, pretty much deserved for all the crappy booking heading into the show. _________________

That's got to be the first Raw in f***ing ages that hasn't featured a tag match, so that automaticaly makes it the best for me. Then add 3 massive 1st time (I think?) clashes which actually had results (well, except one but that was expected). Then the massive surprise with Undertaker at the end. I'm glad that it looks like a match isn't going to be made between the two at this stage, hoping they can work Kane into it somehow.

I ended up watching TNA Against All Odds last night.
It was the most pathetic 3 hours of wrestling I've ever witnessed. The crowd was awful, hardly a peep all night. No match lasted more than 10 minutes, even the main event if you count the long pauses between encounters. There's no way a fatal 4-way should be going for 10 minutes. Sting swings the championship belt towards Roode to take him out, Roode ducks and hits Hardy in the chest with it. Miraculously it managed to 'knock Hardy out cold' for provide an easy pin for Roode, that's two PPV's in a row that they've failed to give the main event a legitimate finish. I feel sorry for anyone that actually bought this.
First match to determine X-division contender had as legitimate injury which looked laughable (at least that's what the crowd was doing.) Biggest pop of the night was Garrett Bischoff which is really saying something about the popularity/lack thereof of the other 'talent.'
