In the wake of other ex-PALGN staff who threw in the towel, today marks the day I follow in their footsteps and resign as a writer. No more reviews, previews, or news. Jarrod is finished...for now.

Though other staff dedicated time to lovingly worded thank you lists, I will not be doing the same. My appologies, but I don't feel I have it in me, and given my continued communication with staff, I don't think it necessary. They're not dead and neither am I. Well, not yet anyway.

So, instead I send a simple message. To the PALGN staff; the writers, the admins, the techies and the editors. To the PALGN community; the posters, the trolls, and the fanboys. To all of you I send you this, in the most repulsive formal possible;

Many of you will know this. Many of you will not. But at it's core, at it's best, PALGN is all about community. Writers did not receive pay. We poured countless hours into finishing the games we loved (and the games we didn't), gruelling over keyboards, to produce written work we hoped would guide you, our readers and forum posters, in making the most informed gaming related purchases we could. We attended events without compensation. We ran this website off our own backs. We did this for you, because without you there is no us.

Simply writing a review is one thing. We write because we enjoy it. But if it were not for readers and posters, much of the joy of putting up a brand new review would be lost. No matter the trolling, debating, praise and criticism, opening up one of your reviews after a few hours to find people posting about it is a joy unlike any other. To know the community follows you and reads you work...that is awesome. Without you guys posting on the forums and keeping us writers in check, we probably wouldn't bother writing at all. PALGN is just as much you as it is us, and we always respected that.

Though you will no longer see any work of mine posted on PALGN, I do hope to explore other creative outlets throughout 2012, and if the fates decide it we may all cross paths once again.

Oh who am I kidding. For the time being I'll still be posting around on this forum. You haven't gotten rid of me completely. Not yet.

Jarrod!

You shall be missed my friend! It's always been good to have a fellow Nintendo lover onboard, but there's a lot more to your presence on the site than this. Normal members may not realise it, but the man is not only a news-posting machine but probably writes some of the most creative reviews on the site. His own charisma definitely shines through in anything that he does. Plus he's posted many an article of mine late at night and there have been times when we've been constantly posting one another's random image and trailer items at ridiculous hours, which always makes one feel appreciated and glad to give back

Oh, and I think this is now also a Predator thread.
