Some of that looked really good and maybe it's the nostalgia in me but I was kind of hoping to go back to the roots, simple mansions, police stations, sewers etc.

And it may have just been a cutscene but please don't add crazy close range combat kicks and flips

^ Looks like a mix of cut scene and in game.

At the start I liked what I saw, but as the trailer progressed it became... too much like RE5; too action packed and much like existing third person shooters. Hope this isn't the case.

As someone who didn't mind RE5 and whose first RE game was 4, it looks pretty good.
But those close range combat kicks just looked like the usual "shoot them in the face then come up close" moves to me, which isn't so bad.

There are different camps on this;
a) people who prefer the original style
b) people who prefer the new action packed style
c) people who want an open world experience (seen that a bit lately)

I prefer a) but wouldn't mind seeing a c). My concern is that if this is too much like RE5 then it will get the same reception, and ultimately, will be forgettable.

Absolutely LOVED RE4, was majorly disappointed in RE5 so when I heard that RE6 might be announced my only thought was meh. But after watching that trailer I am actually hella excited to see how it turns out.

Sure I still dream that a classic style RE will be made but I'm not gonna have a sob over the next game being the way it is because for what it is it looks awesome.

Its still early days, and there wasnt that much in the way of gameplay. Fair amount of cinematics though.

Really liked seeing the darker look of the game instead of daytime in 5 which just seemed to defeat the atmosphere somewhat.

Love the fact that Leon is back with Chris in the same game. Though i hope there are unlockable missions like were in RE4 with Ada Wong. And of course Mercenaries mode, but in a city!!!!

This might go either way by the time it comes out, but im pretty excited by what ive seen. I just hope it is more challenging than 5. That was way too easy, especially with unlimited ammo.

That trailer ran like a trailer for a Michael Bay film.....

I liked the earlier games but found RE5 good enough to keep me interested when I had no new games to play, might keep an eye on this from now on....
