well that was a little dissapointing, I was hoping for more of an idea on what cyber connect were actually doing, instead of just a cutscene. _________________

| Quote: | SoulCalibur V Soundtrack Will Be an East-Meets-West Epic
Nothing gets your blood pumping quite like the soundtrack to a SoulCalibur game, and it seems like that of the series’ fifth incarnation will be upping the ante. A smattering of composers from around the globe will be combining their powers to produce an epic symphony of East-meets-West brilliance.
Some of the biggest names in the business are lending their talents to the title, including Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana), Inon Zur (Dragon Age, Crysis), Cris Velasco (God of War, Darksiders), and Andrew Aversa a.k.a. “zircon” of OverClocked Remix fame. Audio director and franchise veteran Junichi Nakatsuru is also along for the ride once more, having overseen the soundtrack for every SoulCalibur title.
These artists all belong to a group known as the CIA — Central Intelligence Artists. The group is run by Eminence Symphony Orchestra founder and violinist Hiroaki Yura, who will also have a heavy hand in the SoulCalibur V soundtrack. Over at the ESO official website, you can sample tracks and pre-order the soundtrack, which drops on January 31 along with the game. The soundtrack includes 3 CDs and a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage of its creation. Namco Bandai will include a single disc soundtrack with the collector’s edition of the game itself in North America and Europe. |
I'm rather surprised to see zircon getting involved, this should be very interesting. _________________

| Quote: | Soul Calibur V To Employ Gratuitous Amounts of Bouncing
“She’s got huge tracts of… land” will no longer be a phrase reserved for Monty Python enthusiasts, as anyone with a PS3 or Xbox 360 will find out at the end of the month.
It seems Soul Calibur V will be taking the already mind-boggling amounts of cleavage one step further, by allowing you to adjust the size of the character’s assets. Naturally, the costumes will only do their best to show off the character’s customizable bodies, including their buttocks as well.
Now, this is just diving headfirst into the realms of ridiculous. Boobs are a great way to get guys to pick up a game, I know. But really? Was this even necessary? I understand one of the main draws in video games is the suspension of reality, but putting aside the back problems suffered by small-framed women with large chests (there’s a reason you rarely ever see them naturally) most female fighters would bind before physical activity, no matter what size they are. There’s a reason no one goes to the gym in a push-up bra. |

The character creator in this is pretty damn robust. Not allowing you to change your character's 'assets' whilst allowing you to change every other aspect would be weirder. I don't get the complaints.
All that being said....

It is possible to fight against Katsuhiro Harada, producer of Tekken and Soul Calibur V.
The man will be using a special Devil Jin fighting style. Not sure if it is the one that will be available as part of the character creation mode.
Personally I would love to see that throw where Devil Jin chucks the opponent in the air then shoots lasers out of his eyes, juggling the opponent in the air with them .
Hrm, just realized from looking at the xbox achievements that you could get an achievement by defeating him. Will be interesting to see whether any other special appearances will occur, and what the remaining six characters are. _________________ Recently Finished: Legend of Heroes - Trails in the Sky (8/10)

Kilik is a 'mimic' character like Edgemaster. He adopts other fighting styles, such as Maxi's, at random.
Oh, and I don't think Seung Mina has made the cut - the staff now goes to Xiba, who for all intents and purposes looks like a Kilik clone.
