That's what you get when you don't get it through Jesus-kun.
Water to wine, Vita to vanish and all that jazz. _________________

You heard me right. I did not mix that up. Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational beat out Uncharted Golden Abyss to the title of best-selling Vita game. By almost 15,000 copies.
Granted, this is Japan we’re talking about, so cultural norms in video games may vary from ours over on this side of the Pacific Ocean. |

Well I do suppose it will encourage smaller developers to make games, even if they don't have the resources to develop a high-grade videogame. As long as we don't end up with tonnes of golf games

Been playing the Gravity Daze demo for a bit now (you can download it from the Japanese PSN market place) - it's in all in Japanese and there's no english setting for the demo (the dialogue is some strange foreign language localized to the game).
It's really short, but from the demo you can tell what they're trying to achieve and the graphics are really good. The whole change of perspective/gravity can be a little trippy but after awhile you get use to it.
I'll definitely get this when it comes out, the whole world/setting looks really interesting. _________________

Definitely think I'll wait for an Australian release. Whilst a HK one would be good for uniformity with my PS3, with blu-ray players starting to release a few region free, its only a matter of time before I swtich back to a local PS3.
Probably go an 8GB memory card. I plan on buying the games rather than download, so presumably my memory card is only needed for dlc / saves and updates.
But launch titles for me which will be purchased
Uncharted
Everybody's Golf - always a fan
Riiiiiidge Racer -if game has this as a physical copy I'll buy from them to get as part of the deal.
And maybe Top Darts... I don't have a dart game and love watching it on TV. _________________

Just put an hour into Uncharted and am really impressed. The game controls beautifully. The first fire fight had me a bit off guard but once I adjusted the sensitivity of both the aiming and the motion aiming then it felt just as good as ever. The only thing control wise that feels really weird to me is the fact that you have to press select to get the onscreen buttons up(Journal, Camera etc). The Select/Start button fill really sticky and awkward to press for me so the fact that I have to get out of my comfortable position and press select seems weird to me. Not sure why they wouldn't just make it so you click on the corner to get them up or something.
I'm really surprised with the great presentation and depth of this game. I was expecting a dumbed down experience for the Vita but the fact that they've added all these mysteries with stories attached to each treasure is great! Makes me wonder why UC3 didn't have this? Another small gripe I have is the fact that the text is so god damn pixely and ugly. Is this due to the fact that the game runs in Sub HQ?

I'm very tempted to pre-order the Vita soon as I really want to get my hands on it when it comes out here but I feel like I'm getting screwed over when I have to pay $349.95 in Australia when Americans only have to pay $249.
It's always been like this over the years but it's really bitting now as our dollar is so strong now, it's literally $100 more expensive just cause it's Australia.
Not sure what to do as I'm not sure where I could get it from America safely... hmm... _________________

Hi guys, just have a couple quick questions for anyone with an import model.
If you attach your current Aus PSN ID to it, you can't browse the PS Store yet? Not even PSP stuff?
And as above, can you still connect it to your Aus PS3 and transfer downloaded PSP games to it?
Cheers _________________ My YouTube game videos!

You can put any account from any region on your PSVita, so in that respect it is region free, but the location that tied to your account was is where your Vita will point to, also you can only have one account on your Vita at a time. If you switch accounts you have to reset your Vita meaning you lose all your DLC, settings and save games - basically you're formatting your Vita.
You can't access the Australian store (at all, it doesn't partially load up, the PSN market place has a different look when you access it from your Vita), you can click on the icon but since the Vita is not launched in Australia yet it doesn't load up. The only PSN stores that work are Japan and Hong Kong (Asia), the only 2 regions where the Vita has officially launched.
Well I can access my Japanese PS3 and transfer my downloaded PSP games on it, but it has to be downloaded with the same account that your'e using for both your PSVita and PS3. _________________

Thanks Ciel.
Might keep waiting then. Was hoping to be able to download demos (not even sure if the Vita can simply run them from a file downloaded on a computer like the PSP) and also PSP games but from what I'm also reading, you can't just go into the PSN Store and buy and old PSP game because the emulation isn't 100%. _________________ My YouTube game videos!
