So I already have a list of parts for a new PC, but I have no idea where to buy them. I've looked at MSY and mwave and push comes to shove, I'll prob go with one of the two. Online or in-store I don't care, I just want to know a reliable place to get parts/get custom build. But if it's in store needs to be in Sydney. Many thanks.

I'm grabbing my parts from umart.com.au. You order online to get it cheaper, and then go in and pick it up (they do ship too). They seem to have a huge range and a lot of stock, as pretty much everything I looked at had <10 stock.

pccasegear. Absolutely the most reliable Aussie store for PC parts and insanely quick delivery. I had all my PC parts within 24 hours of ordering. _________________

pccasegear is amazing. Huge range of parts, reliable and their shipping is excellent. They package stuff in about 2kg of black wrapping, good for your parts, bad for the environment . Shipping is a bit expensive for single items but buy a lot and it ends up being very reasonable. Also their prices are good.

Another for PCCG (pccasegear).
Also use ijk.com.au and had great experiences with them (same day delivery on some occasions, got a 2600K when it was first launched in Australia... ordered at like 1pm, got my CPU delivered at 4pm).

When you guys ordered from pc case gear did you get the shipping insurance or went without it? I usually never get insurance when I order anything, but I've never ordered anything this expensive before.

PC case gear I have built 3 computers from, very reliable.
I always get insurance just in case, but even so I doubt there'd be visible damage if the package was dropped. _________________

For Sydney in-store, I go to either MSY, IJK or ARC. _________________ "Work hard now, play even harder later"

I order from Victorian based Scorpion Technology (www.scorptec.com.au), and whilst they are priced higher with some parts to others, I've had no issues from them at all. Great service at the numerous stores I picked up from, and delivery has been very quick for online deliveries.
I was one of the unlucky few that had a bad experience with PCCaseGear when I returned a motherboard for an RMA claim, but it was denied. But this occurred ages ago, and I'm sure they're much better now. _________________ Playing: Fallout: New Vegas

Since 2011, I have been purchasing my computer parts from www.mwave.com.au . They have competitive prices on all their parts and have one of the largest ranges available. The only downside is that their postage starts off at $11.95 and keeps going up with every item you add to it. But they ship the same-day with Australian Air Express and 9 out of 10 times you get the parts the next business day.

thanks for the help guys, ended up going with pccg. tried to go half pccg, half msy but it didn't look like msy were going to deliver. built it all and it works, now to begin the arduous task of installing all the software onto the new machine.

For my first PC, I bought almost all of the parts at MSY. The second one was from PCCaseGear.
