I'm enjoying it, really quite a lot. When people say it's WoW with lightsabres (or blasters) they're on the money. I have nagging issues at the back of my mind, though. There were lvl 50s running around within days and I'm worried it won't be as epic in WoW was, but only time will tell with that.
Anyway; Oceanic servers will be open in MArch or April next year. Woot!

You need to read closer, mate
PvP: Swiftsure, with Darkreaper being the most popular second.
PvE: Harbinger, with Jek Jek Tarr as the second.

Im just curious what class did everyone go for with their character and what level are they currently on.
Would be interesting to get a list going.
My character is a Miraluka Jedi Guardian named "Kastt" currently on level 20.

The longer into the game, I'm starting to pick up on things that will hopefully be improved upon through later expansions, much like WoW.
* UI Customisation: I'd like the ability to change the menu system around a little more to my liking. It's nice right now, the windows are easy enough to get around in, but the personal touch is always welcome.
* More character customisation: I think the longer the game goes on, the more this may become relevant, but right now there's not a great deal of character customisation. Gear seems rather similar to each other and, unless I'm missing it, you can't alter gear colour (it'd be nice to have a good looking kit that matches without missing out on improvements in the process.) Speaking of gear, there needs to be more in the way of options here. There's some gear where you can improve upon it with other items and so forth, but I haven't found very many.
* Ship teleport: One thing that bugs me is the distance taken to get back to my ship. A one time use ship teleport with a lengthy cool down time would be a welcome feature (correct me if i'm wrong, of course, I'm only lvl 20 so it may be something you get later in the campaign).
I'd also love the ability to alter the look of my ship, give it a bit of personality, little trinkets or colour changes. Right now there's a ton of space that isn't being used effectively enough.
* multiplayer space battles: This might be something they expand on later on. The space battles right now kinda remind me of starfox, the on rails shooter types, which I'm a huge fan of anyway so it's great to have as a bonus, break things up a little. But a multiplayer, free roaming space battle instance would be epic. There's certainly potential there to do something more.

yeah i agree with most of that.
the gear issue though - i dunno, i guess i remember playing WoW when it first came out, and it's not really until the endgame stuff (either dungeon tier 0 stuff, or raid T1 stuff) that you really started getting unique looking gear.
and even then, the original T1 and T2 gear were placeholder stuff until they finally added the real art for it all.
UI customisation would be awesome - particularly scaling.
there's a fleet pass "spell" under your general abilities that'll teleport you directly to your fleet, has a CD of around 18 hours iirc. a ship one would be great too. _________________

So what's the general feel of the game? WoW with Starwars?
I'm looking forward to this but will wait for the AU launch. _________________ Shin J Leon.

If you add an authenticator to your account for security, you can buy fleet passes for 1000 credit with an hour cooldown. _________________ Steam: Emilbus

Yeah - WoW with Lightsabers. or KOTOR with other people.
it kinda depends on what sort of games you like - a friend of mine is quite interested in it, but i honestly don't think he'll like it, as he used to hate all the story-telling aspects of WoW (and some other games) and just wants to get into the action. this very much brings the story to the fore-front of the game. there's action, but it feels slower-paced than wow. far fewer quests along the way (imo) but the quests that are there, are full of story.
you can skip it - but i think it'd be pretty boring without all that, as most the quests are pretty basic, it's really about the reasons for doing them. _________________

Kind of sounds awesome, as long as the story is GOOD and interesting. I found WOW's story to be terrible. _________________ Shin J Leon.

I'm loving the bioware RPGness of it. I'm doing all the quests in each zone except for group quests, heroics and flashpoints. So basically I'm playing it like a single player RPG and the story is really good. Doing Space battles are really fun and breaks up the game when your tired from questing. Also I love doing PvP. I love ganking and fighting pubs in the world while questing, shame I haven't seen more of them. The turret capture warzone is probably my favourite. Huttball is only good if you have players that know what they are doing. Unfortunately there is alot of incredibly stupid players that don't understand the concept and would rather engage in 1v1s (that they will lose) rather than capturing the ball.
What are everyones '/played's?
Mines 5 Days 1 Hour right now. I'm only level 44 coz I'm enjoying the game instead of power leveling. _________________ There's No Place Like 127.0.0.1

The replayability really comes down to exploring the difference class story quests. 4 class each faction, each having 2 archetype so if you really wanted to play through all of them you'll be able to make multiple character with different play style.
I'm enjoying the Bounty Hunter story quite abit. Up to chapter 3 (last?) and there were some unexpected twist and turns. I heard BH story was some of the more straight forward storylines in the game which makes me look forward to the others more. I heard smuggler and imperial agent stories were done very well. _________________ Steam: Emilbus

if you've played any other Bioware RPG, then you'll know basically what to expect, there's really no mistaking this as anything but a Bioware game. i guess it's a bonus if you've played KOTOR, as there are some call-backs to the events of that, but if you haven't, don't worry, this is set 300 years after KOTOR, so there's a lot of history in between too. it has been something i've loved though, realising that some event, or place (and possibly person - though i've not had this yet) is related in some way to the events of KOTOR. _________________
