It gets better. Well, in my view it does:
| Quote: | Is the Best Price Guarantee applicable?
No, the Harvey Norman best price guarantee is not available on direct imports. |
In retail or sales, the retailer or re-seller is normally willing to do the best for customer. But after reading that, I guess Harvey Norman doesn't wish to go the extra mile for the customer. _________________

Games will usually be delivered to metropolitan city address at any time between 7 to 14 working days from date of dispatch. This timeframe may be affected during any peak postal times during the year (i.e., Christmas/Easter) or during British/Australian public holidays, our games are at fantastic prices and will be well worth the wait.
Country locations and remote areas may take between 10 - 21 working days from date of dispatch.
If your game has not arrived within 21 days from the date of dispatch, please use the contact us link at www.harveynormandirectimport.com |
Not even willing to import games in first and build up an inventory. Lazy **** |
Importing the games first would push up the prices, both because of overheads (warehouse costs etc) and GST (they'd have to pay GST on their shipments into the country). _________________

I don't trust Harvey Norman, all they do is try to rip people off. If you have to wait 2+ weeks get items from this online store then I'm sticking with Ozgameshop. _________________

I think Gerry Harvey has kind of shot himself in the foot by telling people not to buy games at his brick and mortar stores. I really don't see this kind of thing taking off unless the shipping is free and they ship from within Australia.

Well, it's called "Direct Import" as well - http://www.jbhifi.com.au/direct-import/. Cyph may have been suggesting JB will expand it to include games. _________________

^ Yeah sorry, that's what I meant. They had a press release a while back saying they were thinking of doing it.

you see that fat old greedy hypocrite could just drop their games section instead of going the import route. You might as well just order from ebay/ozgame if that's what you're going to do. _________________

All he has to do is drop his prices to reasonable levels instead of ******** about how everyone's going online. Gee whiz, I wonder why?!

Not sure why people harp on HN's game prices that much. Their catalog games are a ripoff but their new releases are generally amongst the best prices.
I bought Skyrim from their for $78 and then got them to price match JB the day after for $63...
I also bought the Uncharted 3 special edition from there for $78 which was the lowest you could get it for... _________________
