I'm pretty excited for thsi, I really disliked the lord of the rings books and thought the movies were balls but fucking dug the shit out of the hobbit. Can't wait to see the Riddle competition with Golum.
Also bout time we got some singing in one of these movies, that was half the fucking books. (Though did they do that in The Hobbit? I only remember it specificaly from LOTR?) _________________

Yeah, the Misty Mountains song in the trailer was straight out of the Hobbit book. Sounds completely different than I imagined it actually. _________________

So unbelievably pumped for this. Can't believe its still a whole year away though. They must have thrown in a bunch of shots in the Trailer that were purpose made for it.

I'm curious to know why exactly you didn't like them? I'd understand if you weren't a fan of LOTR or The Hobbit but only one? Just curious. _________________

Day one!
The child in me exploded with glee when the three trolls by the campfire were shown for a split second. Quite vividly remember that from the books.

The Lord of the rings had enough story for maybe one it would set up that frodo and crew needed to go through this forrest and tell you why and eveything and... then you'd get an entire chapter describing in excruciating detail the kinds of trees that lined the forrest path, then would break up the excruciating detail of the story with a song written entirley in elvish, then back to the description, and you'd be like a chapter and a half later before anything actually happend again.
The Hobbit on the other hand just told it's fucking story without all that bullshit and it was awesome. _________________
