Awesome, it's looking different to what I thought it would be, looks just like any episode. I wonder if these are cutscenes, or if the game just has no HUD? I don't really think 'RPG' is the way to describe this game though, the gameplay looks similar to Castle Crashers?

Wow you saw it way different to me, it's an old school Final Fantasy battle set up Hero characters on the left, enemies on the right, choose your move, they run across the screen and attack and jump back in place.

Is this confirmed? If so, awesome! I thought they were just going with a Final Fantasy 'materia system' for weapons and the electricity/poison etc would be add ons similar to the characters in Castle Crashers, everything else would play out like any 2D fighter. Definitely starting to sound promising.
It just doesn't look like a full retail game though. There's certainly more depth if it completely plays out like an old-school Final Fantasy game, but hopefully there's enough content, with plenty of secrets and loot drops.
With Trey Parker Citing Oblivion, plus a developer like Obsidian, I was really expecting this to play out in the first person, and generally play alot like Fallout/Oblivion etc, but alot simpler and in the SP world. At least we can be happy knowing there'll not be as many bugs!

That's just the way I saw it, fucked if I know if it's going to be anything like that.
Hero characters always on the left, bad guys always in orderd groups, only one character attacking at a time etc. Deffintly looks that way. _________________

There's a combat dev diary over at Game Informer. The Obsidian dude basically says the combat is like an old school turn based RPG where you control all members of your party. Five classic 'classes' to pick from (eg: thief, warrior, rogue, etc) including a 'Jew' class. Lots of influence from Paper Mario for the combat system. _________________

That is exactly what it is, except its less 'Final Fantasy' and more 'Paper Mario'/'Mario & Luigi' since you can increase damage caused with well timed button presses and the like.
Also did the old FFs really have the hero's HP boxes on the right and the enemies on the left if the actual characters were the other way around? Because that's all kinds of stupid.
EDIT: Damn you an your good looks, Jarrod. Also the PALGN censoring of '***' makes the class seem potentially 100x more offensive than it actually is.
