Sorry for the vague topic, so here's some details of my problem:
- PSP 3000 wouldn't turn on, figured battery was dead, so plugged in to AC adaptor to charge. It wasn't charging, so I deduced that the battery must be dead
- Took battery out and played for about 5 days with PSP just plugged in to the AC adaptor sans battery
- Suddenly today, after playing on and off all morning and putting the system in sleep mode, PSP will no longer turn on when plugged in to AC adaptor (still without battery)
- AC adaptor is one of those multi-head ones that I got at EB Games. It still charges my 3DS fine so I don't think there is anything wrong with it
Any ideas why my PSP won't turn on anymore? I didn't drop it or anything, it was just sitting on the couch plugged in, and when I came back to my game, it just wouldn't play anymore. I plan on getting a new battery anyway but I am worried something else might be wrong if it isn't even turning on with the AC adaptor anymore.
Thanks for your help!!

Have you tried with a different AC adaptor just to see if it does work? It could be something wrong with that head. If you have your original adaptor, I think all you need is to switch out the figure-8 cable for an Australian one (if it comes in two parts like ours does).
Also hiiiiiii. _________________

Hiiii!!! XD
No, I didn't try another AC adaptor. The PSP is American and when I bought it I didn't get an adaptor (the system was used), so all I have is this multi-head one. Hmmm I guess I could grab a new AC adaptor and see if that works, it'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new PSP altogether, heh
Thanks for the help!!

Do you have any friends that could help you out? Try both a different battery and a different charger if you can. If you don't have a friend who can help, maybe try going to EB and asking if you can test with the parts from one of their units ^^; _________________
