Looked him up on IMDB, and it seems like he's written a mix of either really fun crazy movies (Rango, Sweeny Todd) or really boring long movies. (Aviator, The Last Sammurai)
That said, focusing on M? Fuck yes I'm there! I would pay to watch Judy Dench read the fucking phone book. _________________

Sam Mendes and Roger Deakins basically guaranty it will be gorgeously shot. I'm down with John Logan too.
Colour me interested. Casino Royal was wonderful, but Quantum of Solace was balls. Hopefully this is the kick in the pants Bond needs. _________________

Watch Deakins not get an Oscar yet again even if it turns out to be his best shot movie ever. _________________

I hope it's not overly gritty (it will be). I want more gadgets.

He also wrote Star Trek: Nemesis. So yeah, I don't hold out too much hope.
Jokes, Rango was pretty amazing. _________________

The plot reads like it was ripped straight out of a recent season of Spooks, to be honest.
Still, that's no bad thing, Spooks is great. _________________ Twitter | XBL: Tamaaya | PSN: stormo | GameCentre/Steam: StorminNorman

Pretty much this. Rewatched Casino Royal 2 nights ago and was reminded how good it was. I'm trying to stay away from spoilers for this new film, but I really hope it goes in a different direction to Quantum of Solace which was such a let down. Maybe it wasn't a bad film, but after the glory of Casino Royal, it felt like a real let down.
Anyway, read that M is having a bigger part. Fuck yeah. _________________

The Tosca sequence from QoS is still one of my favourite sequences of all the Bond movies. Might be why I have a more favourable view of QoS than many others. I rewatched it about a year ago and found myself quite enjoying it. _________________

CASINO ROYALE was so good and well-produced that it could have easily made a start to the James Bond films altogether (that is, if they hadn't been made starting in '62);
QUANTUM OF SOLACE was generally OK; I don't know what to expect of this as I haven't seen it.
