For me I'd vote for an in-ring manouver over commentary/promo botches, so with that I go with Cena/Batista ending, also considering it was the main event of the 2nd biggest PPV of the year.
Maaaaaaaan, what an Rawful show tonight. Twitter was said every 10th word it seemed, it was so over-the-top it's embarassing. You have these huge guys supposed to be cutting intimidating promos, then they just spoil it all with these twitter and 'trending' mentions. I don't use any social media at all, it really pissed me off. The Rock's only real involvement in the show had him summarising the tweets he made today.
The Cena/Foley segment was cringeworthingly hilarious. It all looked genuine to me, Cena looked legitimately surprised. It was a massive trainwreck, the Bill Buchanan segment was a corker.
Kevin Nash is terrible, he had one simple thing to do and he botched it by flinching his kick 3 seconds before Santino eventually turned around.

Those 'This Is Your Life' segments are meant to be train wrecks and are generally rehearsed. Cena's reactions were really spot on but the segment itself went overly long and the pay-off wasn't worth it. If they were going to do it, they should have cut it in half and just stuck with Bull Bachanan and Cena's dad both of whom I didn't mind.
But yeah, considering this was supposed to be their big three hour special edition, it was extremely bland and poorly presented. The constant twitter references were nauseating and there weren't really any high moments or suspense heading into Survivor Series. _________________

So I caught survivor series on PPV today. Thoughts follow, spoiler alert for those who haven't seen it:
* Fairly basic start. Nothing too flash in the opening matches, no surprises either.
* Rock's promo cut back stage was decent enough, until he decided to sing 'New York'. That was painful.
* The traditional survivor series match was decent. I don't know what happened with Sin Cara, whether it was staged or another to add to his many stuff ups, but that was poor. If the news on WWE.com is true, he'll be out for a long while, which may be a blessing in disguise.
I loved the pop for Rhodes, the best reaction of the entire lineup in the match. Was good to see him survive to the end.
* Two things I loved about Show vs Henry, particular chants by the crowd and the elbow drop from the top rope. 'Boring' (which summed it up rather well until the last few moments) and the chant for both Undertaker and Daniel Bryan were funny and warranted. The drop took forever to pull off, which made me wonder whether he'd practised it at all before hand. Pulled it off well though. End of the match was rather typical, they're dragging this rivalry out for another PPV, or longer of Henry pulls out for a few months. Maybe Bryan stealing the title at Wrestlemania from Henry is what they're aiming for after all.
* I'm a huge Punk fan, so the match of the night was Punk vs Del Rio for me by far. The crowd were really into this one, some great reactions, and when Punk rope broke the cross arm breaker, you have no idea how pumped I was. I loved the reaction when the announcer introduced Punk's own personal ring announcer, that was a neat touch. The fact that the crowd were chanting him all the way through was awesome, especially when he jumped into the crowd with title in hand afterwards. He's a fan favourite by far, which makes me wonder whether Rock vs Cena may be upstaged by Punk. Either one of them will have to get to him if the title goes on the line at Mania.
* I'll be honest, as much as Rock pulled off some great moves (the 'You've still got it' chant was spot on), this was actually kinda boring. Cena got pummelled and humiliated, which was always going to happen, while Rock took all the plaudits and won the match. The reactions from both at the end could be the strongest hint yet that Cena will turn heel, or at least become a more aggressive and intimidating figure in the ring compared to his typical good guy persona. I still he needs a new move or two.
* Funniest moment of the night though goes to R Truth's pigeon spot. He plays the deranged character well, I must admit.
Other than that, I'm already sick of the twitter talk. They're pushing it way too much, every wrestler's username, 'what's trending' logos, it's almost as bad as Cole's commentary, and even that wasn't as annoying this time as it has been before.
Overall, 6/10 for Survivor Series, 9/10 for Punk.

Pretty good PPV, 2nd to wrestlemania based on entertainment value, not so much the matches. Loved the chanting, I was in stitches when they countered with "You still suck" after The Rock's 'you still got it' chants. Match was pretty predictable though, yet you can't wipe the grin off your face with the inevitable spine buster/people's elbow stuff, it took me back to high school. Cena looked totally weird tonight, he was just grinning the whole night, and New York certainly gave it to him.
Agree that R-Truth's pigeon sketch was funniest moment of the night, along with some Booker-T blunders ("if he keeps this up for another 5-10mins it's gonna be over") Cole and King were in hysterics in the background. And Rock botching with the 'WWF' line got a funny reaction. R-Truth/Miz finally sung their song in time to the beat.
Punk winning was cool however the Show/Henry ending was not, I hate it when they pull this crap, their moveset is very limited, yet we have to watch them compete in three consecutive PPV's (possibly). For matchups like Orton/Christian it was fine but I grew bored of these two right before the superplex in the previous PPV.
In another 'blurred reality' moment, I couldn't help but feel that Punk was a little pissed off at Finkel? Him crying wasn't supposed to happen, he was lucky he didn't botch his announcement.

For me, one of the great things about just reading the spoilers is that you avoid the majority of the twitter crap, but i think i'll probably buy the dvd when it's out just to see/hear the hot NY crowd and to watch Punk's match.
One thing that stood out to me from the results that you guys haven't mentioned yet: TOP ROPE GLAM SLAM = Ho. Lee. ****!

The elbow drop was one of my favorite moments. One it shut up the smarks after the 'boring' chants, but mainly due to the how badly things could have turned had Big Show botched. I'm sure he practiced, but due to Show's size, getting to the top rope and balancing must have been really difficult and quite frightening. If he lost his balance and fell or botched, it could have been a serious injury for him(probably on a Sid Vicious level). While an elbow drop is no feat for a smaller man, the sheer awesomeness comes from the fact Big Show pulled it off successfully and as I said at the start of my post, because he still did it despite the danger and amount of things that could have gone wrong. _________________

Apparently, there was a link shown during Jack Swagger's entrance on this week's Raw for this video advertising someone's return. Let the wild speculation begin. It'll most likely be a big letdown, like earlier this year with the 'Sting' videos, and just be a video for the Undertaker.

Should we be thinking that the two videos are linked?

So, Awesome Truth is over...kinda makes me sad. But it's not like they actually did any damgae as a duo anyway. R-Truth gets the beatdown because he apparently violated the wellness policy?
Sin Cara out till mid next year.
Re: Those videos, just probably Kane and Undertaker, don't Taker teaser vids sually show up around this time every year? Personally I'd love to see 'brother vs brother' in Undertakers potential last ever match at Wrestlemania.

Haha killjoy, that's what I get for using somebody elses opinion. Yeah, I don't think they're linked.
I'll laugh if it's just Taker again. _________________

The person in question in regards to the first video was asked on his twitter what he was doing during January. His response? "Working in Hawaii". Likely a cover-up, though.
I read that Vince has decided for the video to be released before a deal has been reached. I think that if a deal can't be made, they'll make it so that the video was for Undertaker all along.
Can we talk about what has happened on this week's Smackdown yet?

I think the spoiler policy is we'll discuss it once it's aired.
So we can talk about Raw on Tuesdays, Smackdown and Impact on Fridays etc.
So we can talk about Daniel Bryan cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase and winning the title...until it was revoked by Teddy Long.
Has anyone purchased WWE '12 yet? _________________

I think it's interesting that Bryan is now #1 contender while still having the MITB briefcase. He could win the belt using one and still have the other.
Imagine him using his #1 contendership to win the belt, then he would lose it in a long, hard-fought match only for him to hand his case in right there and then and pick up the pieces to get the belt back lol.

That had to be the biggest cock tease of a Smackdown I've ever seen. I turned off the tv after that happened. _________________

Give them credit, they're at least trying to do something different with the briefcase. Adds a bit of tension to know the guy's tried to cash it in but things keep getting in the way, and yet there he is as the top contender. It might just turn out to be one of those 'wins the title one night, loses it and regains in another' moments.

There have been reports that John Morrison's contract extension with the WWE ends this week.
Zack Ryder has his own way of sending Morrison off.

So, like, everyone seems to be going bats*** crazy over Zack Ryder. I can't help but cringe whenever he's in the ring. I think it was raw this week where I saw possibly the biggest botch ever? I think it was between him an Swagger, with Swagger laid out near the corner, Zack runs and jumps over him in the corner, then he just stood there hanging onto the corner post for almost two seconds and did nothing, can't exactly remember what happened next, I was too busy cringing.
Regarding these trailers, I hope it's not Jericho. I just want to be surprised, I hate knowing who a return superstar is going to be. It's gotten to the point for me where it's hard not to read future outlines. I'm usually interested in the behind the scenes stuff like injuries and reading about what happenes after Raw shows, etc but I accidentily keep reading future plot outlines in some of the headings on the websites I go to. I should probably just stop visiting these websites fullstop.
Jericho has always been one of my all-time favourites though, I just think it's a terribly bad time for him to come back. Raw/Smackdown and even most PPVs are getting boring and unoriginal.
