NintendoWorldReport has some impression from the final build. Spoiler laced, but they can be read here. What really, really excited me was the post-game content the game seems to have. I was incredibly impressed with what Super Mario Galaxy 2 did, and it looks like Nintendo is going to follow up with something equally cool. Spoilered below if you want it to be a surprise.
| Quote: | | After completing the standard eight (?) worlds the game unlocks an additional eight worlds, each remixing the original stages with a new twist, such as time attack mode or even new content. The example they use is a propeller based stage where you jump between big platforms made to look like old school eight bit sprites. In the remixed version there are new sprites, so the level is changed, and the dynamic of moving between them shifts to canons instead of propellers. These remixed stages are also much harder. |

And now we can talk about why I didn't like Galaxy 2, streamlined level design was way too streamlined. Galaxy 1 is still king.

File stars are back from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, with SM3DL having up to five earnable stars. Read below to see how you get them.
| Quote: | ★ = Get to and finish W8's castle, saving Princess Peach.
★★ = Beat all stages from W1 to W8.
★★★ = Beat all special stages.
★★★★ = Collect all 285 medals.
★★★★★ = Beat all stages (normal and special) with Golden Flags, with both Mario and Luigi.
The reward is one last final, super difficult stage. Awesome. |

Good news for Replayability. I don't know if I've ever, fully 100% completed a mario game, but a portable is a good one to try on. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you."

So Target will have this for $49, great price considering it's around $47 importing from the UK. _________________

EB Games will start selling this whenever they get stock, without advertising it's for sale. So it could be already be for sale, or be on sale tomorrow. Though you'll most likely have to pay full price for it.

Damn, I'm unlucky enough to not have a Target around.
What about K-Mart or DickSmith or JB Hi-Fi? If anyone happens to know. _________________ "If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving is not for you."

Kmart will have it for $54 according to their catalogue, JB $59, not sure about Dick Smith. You can always get EB or JB to price match, just show them the Target catalogue. _________________

Best Mario game since Super Mario 64.
Only two worlds down so far, and I can already say that with absolute confidence. _________________

Almost finished the second world. It does seem a little short, though I guess that is expected of a portable Mario. It is amazing though! One of the best Mario games I have ever played, I must say I'm even enjoying it more than Mario Galaxy 1/2. Everything about it is just so wonderful, makes me not regret buying my 3DS at all.

Just discovered down on the d-pad. Gives it so much more depth (but apparently less things "popping" out of the screen? I'll have to experiment more). Such a great game, enjoying this more than Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Saints Row 3 etc. Might end up being my (surprise) GOTY.

Without spoiling it, is there more than the 8 original worlds, and 8 "changed" worlds? Or is that it? It really is so good that I don't want to completely finish it any time soon :\
